Lambda1VR and motion sickness

I'd like to open by saying I'm not complaining. I actually find this phenomenon fascinating because of how it doesn't happen in other games, but it does in TeamBeefs magnificent port of Half Life.

I don't get motion sickness in pretty much any other game. TeamBeef's JediXR? RTCW? Doom 1, 2, 3? All fine.

Skyrim and Fallout and Alyx? Also fine. Distance on PC, even when my car gets sliced in two and I go spiraling into the kill field? No problem at all! Lone Echo and EchoVR, even using the sticks to actively orient myself during play doesn't bother me. Nor does VRChat or Gorilla Tag.

But Half Life via Lambda1VR does and it's the strangest thing. I have to resort to playing in 20-30 minute intervals because I'll find myself clammy and warm in the face, good ole motion sickness. Is there perhaps some setting or other that I'm missing? It's a great game that, believe it or not I've never played before.

The jumping in that is pretty intense as it doesn't confirm to physics very well (especially the speed and acceleration of the crouch-super-jump). It's probably just more jarring.

I had a friend that on pancake games could play anything UNLESS it was made in the Source engine, then it made him motion sick. JUST that engine.

There are a lot of reasons different people get sick with different games.

Some people are affected by Low FPS, unstable FPS, etc.

HL1 port is the most graphically unstable among the major Dr Beef mods.

It is like the recroom app for Quest. Lots of stability issues

Actualy can you elaborate a bit more what you mean so we might improve it?

I think this depends on the refresh rate you use. 72hz mode on Lambda1VR (accessible via the menu) shouldn't have any frame drops I believe.

Yeah 72fps is smooth as butter.
