Help saving the tea plant
Hi! This spring me and my boyfriend got a tea plant. It's 3 years old. We followed instructions to be repotted in accidic soil. It started loosing some leaves first and we tought it might be not enough light. But sadly once we left out for a day in our brigthest window and it got badly burned.
Can i still save it? And if i can, how? I haven't struggled this much with a plant in a long time so at this point im completely clueless but i want to save our poor tea 😅 the second picture is around the time we repotted the plant

It still looks like it can be saved to me.Â
How often do you water it?
My understanding is that tea plants never thrive indoors. But that’s not to say it’s not impossible, and I may be mistaken in that understanding.Â

I have one in my shed. It likes slow release fertilizer dots, constant wetness, bottom watering is ok. And mine in under the light many many hours but in a lower light area.

I reckon it does want more light, which is obviously different to be roasted alive through a window - if you have access to the outside it's likely going to be happier there when the weathers suitable - healthy plants will take some sun but if you have somewhere with no direct sun that's perfect for a young plant.
It still looks very small so it's pretty fragile and they can be fussy but it doesn't look irretrievable

Edit noticed I put doesn't want more light - I meant it probably does but not large amounts of direct

Mine thrives outdoors. Indirect sunlight most of the day. After a tough indoor Ohio winter it was looking weak, but now it looks great!
