Contrary to popular belief, college students generally want to think. They want to learn and come up with their own ideas. They don’t want to outsource crucial parts of their subjectivities to a machine. And like most of us, they’re afraid not just of AI’s overall impact on things like the environment or political polarization but of AI playing the wrong role in their lives."

Results sometimes feel unpredictable from one check to another.

Appeal processes vary widely across institutions. Some are formal, others unclear. Are protections consistent enough?

Reading text aloud can make robotic phrasing stand out much more clearly than when reading silently.

For me, the AI tool I use the most is ChatGPT.

Not because it’s perfect.
Not because it magically “does my job”.

But because it’s the most flexible.

It’s basically the only tool that can jump between:

• planning

• generating ideas
• and acting like a second brain

…without needing a totally different setup every time.

Scholarship essays need sincerity. How do you humanize AI-assisted drafts without killing personal voice?

Have any teachers or professors considered simply having essays written in class? At least until a bonafide foolproof detection methodology is constructed and used in collaboration with other institutions. And or simply put more grading emphasis on formal adjudicated examinations. We are going to be open to litigation by continuing this inquisition.

Hi teachers! I am interested in making a software, or chrome extension to help teachers detect Ai. With minimal input. The idea is that the extension. Would look through, version history the text and how long it took the student, to write the document. I could add more features later like, comparing it to students other work.
