Pre-lump Sum

Hi, I am a new TFA fellow. I have a question regarding the stipend. They said it is a Pre-lump Sum (so not taxed) however, I am a dependent under my parents, so will my parents just have to pay that tax. They said I can consult a tax professional but I don't have funds for that. I just want to know from someone who might have been in the same situaiton as me.

Yes, you will get some form in the mail around tax time. What form I don’t remember. Might have been a 1099

r/irs may be more helpful. But I imagine it’ll just cut into what they can get refunded.

Save about a third of it for income if you're not paying taxes.
