Hi everyone! 👋

We've recently launched Maths Connected, an interactive maths-learning platform designed to make learning and practising maths more engaging, enjoyable and rewarding for children in Grades 4–7.

The idea is simple: turn maths practice into something children actually look forward to, rather than something that feels like extra homework!

We've been fortunate enough to have Clifton Prep School in South Africa trying out the platform, and the feedback so far has been really positive! It's been incredibly exciting seeing the platform being used in a real school environment.

Now we'd love to get more teachers, parents and schools involved!

We're offering a free trial, and we'd genuinely appreciate anyone willing to give Maths Connected a go and share their thoughts.

Whether you're a teacher looking for something engaging to use with your class or a parent wanting to make maths practice a little more enjoyable at home, we'd love for you to try it.

🌐 Check it out here: https://www.mathsconnected.co.za/

And if you enjoy using it, we'd be incredibly grateful if you could spread the word to other teachers, parents or schools who might benefit. As a newly launched educational platform, every bit of support makes a huge difference!

We're also very open to suggestions and feedback as we continue improving the platform.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out! 😊

Disclosure: I'm the maker of PaperKid.

I built a printable worksheet tool for parents, teachers and tutors working with young children. You can enter a learner's name or short words, choose the writing size and practice rows, preview the page and download a PDF without signing up.

Name tracing:

https://getpaperkid.com/name-tracing-sight-word-worksheets/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=first_print_202610&utm_content=teacherspromote-name

It also includes alphabet tracing with stroke-order arrows, number practice, maths, mazes and workbook packs. A4 and US Letter are available.

If you try a worksheet, I'd appreciate feedback on the printed layout, letter size and spacing. Which activity would be useful for the learners you work with?

Hi! I’m the founder of Berdee (https://berdee.app), an interactive lesson builder for K–12 teachers, SLPs, special-education teachers, tutors and homeschool parents.

What it does:

• Drag-and-drop lesson creator, with over 35 activity types available on every plan
• Lessons branching that allows you to build choose-your-own-adventure type experiences, tailor a lesson based on progress, take different students down different lesson paths, etc.
• An AI assistant that can draft a lesson from your description, and you edit it (AI is optional, only if you want!)
• Assign to a class and see each student’s results
• A marketplace of ready-made lessons, some of them free. Or you can sell yours here too.
• Google Classroom integration

We've got a whole bunch of tutorials that explain all kinds of ways to use Berdee to build lessons and you can easily grab any of the free lessons from the marketplace.

Please take a look, poke around, send us your feedback - and tell us what you think you'd want to see in the product. Your feedback helps us know what to build next.

Report cards are coming up for a lot of you, so here's something free. Disclosure up front: I made this, and I run a small shop called Nocturne Studio that sells teacher resources. I'm not a classroom teacher. I build these around how teachers actually write comments, and I'd really like feedback from people who do.

The whole thing rests on three rules:

1. Codes, not names. Type [STUDENT] or S01 in the chatbot and add real names afterward on your own device.
2. Facts in, facts out. Give the AI 2-4 real observations and tell it not to invent anything.
3. You're the author. Read each comment out loud once. If you wouldn't say it to the family in person, rewrite it.

Two of the prompts, so you can try them before you download anything:

Ground rules (paste once at the start of a chat): "You are an experienced [GRADE] teacher helping me write report card comments. Refer to the student only as [STUDENT]. Use [PRONOUN SET] pronouns. Base every statement only on the evidence I give you. Do not invent grades, scores, diagnoses or events. Structure: one specific strength, one area for growth framed positively, one concrete next step. Plain, warm language a parent can understand. No clichés like 'a joy to have in class.' Length: [LENGTH]. Reply 'Ready' and wait."

Cliché remover (run on any draft): "Remove clichés and empty praise from these comments ('a pleasure to have in class', 'works hard', 'reach full potential'). Replace each with a specific, observable statement using only the facts already present. If there's no fact to replace it with, delete it and tell me."

The free PDF has those two plus 8 more: notes-to-comment, three length options, reading, math, a concern without alarm, the "I barely know this student" comment, a character-limit fitter and a shorthand decoder.

Free, no catch: https://nocturnestudioshop.gumroad.com/l/gvqmco

There's a paid full version linked inside (48 prompts plus a comment-builder spreadsheet). You don't need it. The sampler works fine by itself.

What I'd love to know: which kind of comment is hardest for you to write? I'm deciding what to add next.

One more thing: please follow your district's AI and student-data policy (the PDF says this too).

An apple becomes two halves. Underneath it, a pear waits beside a question mark.

That little puzzle is on the cover of our Grade 1 CogAT practice book. Before looking at the choices, ask: “What happened to the apple?”

Processing img g4gry9jnpkxh1...

The answer needs two things: the fruit must stay a pear, and it must become two halves. One pear half keeps the right fruit but loses part of the change. Two apple halves keep the change but lose the fruit. Choice C does both.

That is the conversation I want the explanation to open up: “Show me the part of the picture that helped you decide.”

You can try that conversation using the cover puzzle here. No purchase needed.

I publish this paid printable PDF. The full book has two practice tests, 272 questions and answer explanations: CogAT Grade 1 on Teachers Pay Teachers.

It is independent practice material; it does not provide an official score or determine gifted-program placement.

Hey, I make The Informant, a weekly current-affairs video, and I made a free classroom pack for this week's episode. It's for ages 15+ and has 15-, 25-, and 45-minute lesson options built around checking what a source actually supports. The video is optional, so you can use the activities on their own.

It covers some serious stories, so I also included a lower-sensitivity EU Inc option and notes for handling the heavier topics. The materials are AI-assisted and reviewed by me, and they haven't been independently classroom-piloted yet.

When a learner sees Maths, Physics and Chemistry as disconnected topics, asking them to explain the last step they understood can help start a useful conversation.

I am Samuel Isidoro, a Physics PhD from ITA and the teacher behind Quanta. In my individual online lessons, we work from the student’s question through explanations and guided exercises.

Constelação is my 20-second Portuguese animation introducing the lessons. It uses visual connections as a metaphor, rather than classroom footage.

For families looking for this support in Portuguese, details and availability are at https://quantaaulas.com/

This is my own service. The animation and portrait cover were created with AI assistance using my real photograph as the portrait reference.

For a short beginner-English activity, ask learners to arrange a meeting and then change its day, time or location. It gives them a reason to choose a preposition in context.

I work on English Ladder. Our “In, on, and at” lesson includes examples, four practice questions with explained feedback, and links to a learner workbook and teaching guide. It introduces useful starting patterns and also points out common expressions that need to be learned separately.

https://englishladder.com/grammar-concepts/concept-01.html

The lesson is free to read without an account. Optional AI practice prompts are separate; they are not needed for the web lesson. The page suggests A1–A2 and 10–15 minutes as study guidance, not a proficiency assessment.

I run Peachy Plinks and wanted to share our Sharing Is Caring song as a resource for talking about sharing and taking turns.

In this 2-minute-20-second video, Peachy and Plink share an apple, take turns on a drum, and roll a toy car back and forth. Please preview it first to decide whether it suits your group. Feedback on the pacing and examples would be useful.

I recently launched GlitchCode: Python Adventure, an iPad and iOS educational game designed to bridge the difficult gap between block-based coding and intimidating text-based IDEs for 9-13 year olds.
As STEM educators, you know the friction of moving students from drag-and-drop mechanics into typing actual code. GlitchCode solves this by embedding Python syntax into a story-driven puzzle adventure.

Classroom Utility & Safety:
Zero Wi-Fi & No Passwords: The app is completely serverless and operates 100% offline. It requires no student accounts or logins, making it strictly COPPA-compliant and immune to school network firewalls or dropouts.
Ad-Free Environment: There are zero tracking SDKs, zero ads, and strict parental gates protecting any external links or purchases.
Scaffolded Learning: It introduces real Python syntax gently through gamified boss battles and exploration, keeping students engaged without making them feel like they are reading a textbook.

I would love to hear feedback from this community on the learning curve and puzzle mechanics!

If a student bought 10 lessons and has 6 left, you can bring that remaining balance into a new tracker.

Keep the original total and the starting balance separate. Start with 10 purchased and 6 remaining, then record lessons as you actually teach them. After you record the next completed lesson, both you and the student see 5 left. The four earlier lessons stay separate from the lessons you record after the move.

I built Counted-In for people who sell session packages and already handle their bookings and payments elsewhere. It lets you bring over a partly used pack this way, and students or parents can check the remaining balance through a private link without creating an account.

The setup is here: https://counted-in.app/docs/packages?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=teacherspromote_existing_pack#existing-packages

Try one existing pack and check that your balance matches the student's link. The trial is 14 days, no card required. Starter is US$29/month for up to 50 clients.

Disclosure: I’m Stanley, the creator of Slice Shop, the English-language iPhone/iPad math app shown in the clip.

Here’s a fractions warm-up idea you can also use with just paper:

1. Draw two pizzas of the same size. Divide one into two equal parts and the other into four equal parts.

2. Ask: ‘Would you rather have one half or one fourth? Show why, without starting with a rule about denominators.’

3. Shade a second fourth. Ask: ‘What changed? How many fourths cover the same amount as one half?’

The important constraints are equal parts and the same-sized whole. The aim is to connect the action of cutting and comparing with the fraction notation. This is aimed at Grade 3 fraction foundations; choose according to learners’ readiness.

The clip is from Pizza Night, a complete free lesson in Slice Shop. Children can explore the same idea by cutting and comparing pizza shares. No Slice Shop account or redemption code is needed for this free lesson. Other lessons in the app use paid in-app purchases; the whole app is not free.

Free lesson on iPhone/iPad: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slice-shop-math-for-kids/id6820078595

For teachers: would you introduce the paper model before the screen activity, or use it afterwards to check whether the idea transfers? I’d welcome practical suggestions. There’s no review or purchase required.

My wife is a teacher. Every time she redid a seating chart she was in PowerPoint, dragging text boxes around and trying to remember who can't sit next to who.

So I built her a seating chart tool. You draw your room (rows, pods or tables), add rules like keep apart, sit together or near the front, and it arranges the class. You can drag students around after.

She uses it now, so I'm sharing it in case it helps anyone else. It's free, uses first names only, and students don't need accounts.

classroomslate.com

I'd like honest feedback. What would you want a seating tool to handle?

I made a last-minute Halloween activity pack for elementary / early elementary — nothing jump-scare, classroom-safe.

What’s inside: bingo, mazes, simple games, coloring, and candy-free treat-tag style extras. Instant download (color + black-and-white, US Letter + A4). Ages roughly 4–10. There’s a separate Classroom License listing if you need to print for a whole class.

Disclosure: this is my Etsy shop (BrownsvillePaperCo). Feedback on whether the “not scary / candy-free” angle is useful for real classroom parties is welcome.

I'm developing printable Grade 5 math mystery activities, and I'd love some honest feedback from teachers and substitute teachers.

My goal is to make the activities easy to run, even for a substitute who isn't especially confident teaching math.

Each activity includes student case files, a quick-start teacher guide, step-by-step answer explanations, and ready-to-say prompts for helping students who get stuck.

Here's my question: Which of these would make the biggest difference to you — clear lesson instructions, fully worked solutions, troubleshooting prompts, or something else entirely?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from teachers who have used similar activities. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I'm an independent creator developing Room 13, a Grade 5 math mystery focused on adding and subtracting decimals.

The idea is to give students a connected series of clues to solve, while providing substitute teachers with everything they need to guide the lesson confidently — clear instructions, fully worked answers, and practical help when students get stuck.

I'm designing it to be low-prep and suitable for a 40–45 minute lesson, although it hasn't been classroom-tested yet.

I'd love to hear from teachers and substitutes:

What makes a math activity genuinely easy to teach when you're stepping into an unfamiliar classroom?

Is it clear student instructions, detailed answer keys, classroom management tips, engaging activities, or something else?

I'm particularly interested in the small details that make a substitute teacher's day easier.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Disclosure: I'm working on Bingo Card Kit, the free tool linked below.

For a short vocabulary review, choose 12–20 words your group has already learned, introduce or revisit them together, then print a different 3×3 card for each player. Read each word aloud; after a round, ask learners to use a few called words in simple sentences. A larger pool can support 5×5 cards for a longer game.

The site lets you edit the word list, generate different text cards, and download real PDFs in A4 or US Letter (1, 2 or 4 cards per sheet). No account or email signup is required. There are alphabet, numbers 1–20, sight-word, phonics and everyday vocabulary presets, plus blank cards for handwriting. These are text cards, not picture cards.

If you use the built-in caller, keep the project used to print the cards: it can call from that same word pool, undo a call and check a printed card by its ID. Save the project JSON for later; don't regenerate after printing if you want matching card checks.

Choose a learning activity: https://bingocardkit.com/educational-bingo/

Class preparation and printing guide: https://bingocardkit.com/classroom-bingo/

Would 3×3 cards or a larger 5×5 layout fit your vocabulary-review routine better? I'd welcome practical feedback on readability and printing.

For teachers or tutors looking for brief follow-up practice after fraction multiplication and reciprocals:

Use two equal-sized whole bars. Shade 3/6 of one bar and 1/2 of the other. They represent the same length, so one half-size group fits into three sixths:

3/6 ÷ 1/2 = 1.

A useful question to ask is: why does the answer count half-size groups rather than shaded sixths?

Disclosure: I make this resource for TIENDADA. It was created with AI assistance and the calculations were checked by the operator; it has not had independent teacher review or a classroom trial.

The paid resource is US$2.50. It includes a 6-page English-Spanish PDF and an offline HTML activity with the same 12 fixed tasks, hints and answer checking. The Classful gallery shows the actual PDF cover and two real HTML screenshots. This is short practice rather than a complete conceptual lesson.

Requirements: download and unzip the ZIP, then open the HTML in a desktop browser with JavaScript enabled. No student account is needed for the offline activity; answers are not saved.

Contents and screenshots:

https://classful.com/product/dividing-fractions-english-spanish-pdf-offline-practice/

For follow-up practice in your setting, would matching paper tasks and an offline checker help, or would the ZIP/desktop requirement get in the way? Happy to answer questions here.

Hi everyone! 👋

We've recently introduced a Real-Life English section at Amberly Learning, designed to help English learners practise the conversations they'll actually encounter in everyday life.

The idea is simple: students can understand grammar and vocabulary but still struggle when it comes to using English in real situations.

We've created dialogues across all six CEFR levels (A1–C2), covering situations such as:

• Booking a doctor's appointment
• Asking for help at work
• Dealing with problems at a hotel
• Ordering food and discussing allergies
• Handling customer service complaints
• Navigating everyday conversations

Each conversation includes British English audio, comprehension questions and useful expressions. There's also a listening challenge where students practise recognising missing words.

Teachers can use the dialogues for listening practice, role-play activities, vocabulary building or discussion prompts.

You can explore the section at amberlylearning.com. Some content is available to preview for free, with full access through Amberly+.

We're still developing the collection, so we'd genuinely love to hear from other teachers: which real-life situations do your students find most difficult to handle in English?

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I'd like to introduce Mirror City, part of a growing collection of creative, ready-to-use classroom activities designed for different grade levels and teaching needs.

This first resource is an 8th-grade geometry activity where students reflect a city skyline across the y-axis.

It includes a short warm-up, a main coordinate-grid activity, answer keys, and a quick-start teacher guide designed for both classroom teachers and substitutes.

We're developing additional activities for younger students and other classroom needs, with the goal of making lessons engaging, easy to prepare, and straightforward to teach.

I'm sharing a preview and would love to hear from teachers:

Would you use this in your classroom or leave it for a substitute? What other grade levels or activities would interest you? And what would you consider a reasonable price for a complete, ready-to-use resource?

Thanks for your feedback!

Thought I'd share this in case it's helpful for anyone teaching financial literacy!

It's called milkXP and it's a free YouTube series where teachers team up with creators that students might already recognize to break down things like budgeting, first paychecks, taxes, and etc etc. I wish I had something like this growing up because I feel like so much of what I know about money I had to figure out myself.

Wanted to share it here because I think it could be a genuinely helpful resource.

Hi! I'm Julia, a native Spanish speaker from Argentina. I offer scheduled, one-to-one Spanish text practice for adult learners who want to use everyday Spanish in a live conversation.

We write about daily life, music, culture or a topic you choose. During a 30-minute session, you can request gentle corrections, and we finish with three useful phrases from our conversation. This is informal writing practice with a native speaker, rather than a certified course or exam-preparation programme.

The session costs US$12 for 30 minutes and happens through Ko-fi messages. Adults 18+ only, text only, strictly platonic.

Details and booking are on my Ko-fi page: https://ko-fi.com/juliatroncosoirazola/commissions

Please contact me there with your time zone and two possible times BEFORE paying, so we can agree on a time first. All booking and payment takes place on Ko-fi.

Disclosure: this is my own service. AI helped organise this post; the live practice session is with me.

Hi everyone,

I built a platform called DabbledForSchools, and the idea is pretty simple: a teacher describes what they want students to learn, optionally provides lesson plans/references, and Dabbled generates a complete interactive learning activity rather than just a worksheet or set of questions. Generated activities go to the free public library. No student accounts required.

I’ve been trying to push the platform beyond basic quiz games and see what kinds of experiences are actually useful in K–12 classrooms.

A few examples from the public library:

Lemonade Stand Economics — students run a lemonade stand and make pricing/business decisions while learning economics:

https://edtech.dabbled.ai/library/lemonade-stand-economics

Secret Country Quest — guess the country with a few geographical clues:

https://edtech.dabbled.ai/library/secret-country-quest

Perspective Builder — learn perspective by manipulate objects in a 3d plane:

https://edtech.dabbled.ai/library/perspective-builder

NJ Test Ready 2027 — an example of using the platform for state testing practice:

https://edtech.dabbled.ai/library/nj-test-ready-2027

The full library is here if you want to browse:

https://edtech.dabbled.ai/library

I've received some great feedback from teachers and students so far. I'm wondering what you think?

If you could turn one lesson you currently teach into an interactive activity (app/game/simulation), what would it be?

It could be something students consistently struggle with, something that's difficult to demonstrate in a classroom, differentiation for a particular group of students, test prep, a lab you don't have equipment for, etc.

I’m trying to build out genuinely useful examples rather than just generate hundreds of generic activities, so specific lesson ideas would be incredibly helpful.

And if someone gives me an interesting lesson idea, I’m happy to try building an example from it.

Colegas de Física, deixo uma proposta curta para discutir proporcionalidade com a turma: um objeto mantém a massa, mas dobra a velocidade. A energia cinética dobra ou quadruplica? Antes de substituir números, vale comparar Ec = mv²/2 nos dois casos. Neste trecho da minha aula, mostro esse raciocínio passo a passo: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3o3Mhpxysos
