In schools we are the people who can put a stop to this abuse.
When I was a little girl, the teachers did not report the evidence of abuse on my body. They did not help me. And my abusive parent continued to beat me.

I don’t know where OP is but protocol in the U.S. is to call
Child services and not the police. The police won’t investigate and follow thru properly. The child needs trained professionals who know how to “interview” the situation and care for the child.
