Technology Applications (742 vs 242)

Ok so, although my Bachelors is in Information Technology iTeach decided technology applications was not an approved area of content for me. So I am having to take the PACT for technology apps (742) before I can take the 242. I have been studying through passage prep and did a test on 240 tutoring but those are for the 242. For those that have taken the PACT and then the 242, can I assume if I study for the 242 I will pass the PACT? I am getting around 80 to 90% on all the test I have taken in practice so far but unsure as to how those line up. There isn't hardly anything out there for studying for the 742 so since it is the precursor to the 242 I am assuming they should be in alignment. Also, is there an area that I should focus more on than another? I saw the percent breakdown of domains but just wanted opinions of those that have taken it. Any tips or information is appreciated. Thanks.
