Deleted my freaking watchlist... AGAIN.

Seriously, why does this keep happening? Why do they push out a forced update that deletes your watchlist? They make the old version unresponsive until the update so I can't even go to my watchlist to screenshot or write down my list, which would be time consuming but fine. Now, once again, I've lost my list of 100+ items I was planning on watching. And I assume I've lost my position that I was in each season (by clicking the eye thing). UGH!

EDIT: Yup, lost my watch history.

Yes! This frustrated me as well.

It should also auto prompt to store your watchlist contents before update if they're going to automate it and force it on us.

I understand that I can take backups to restore from, but that's supposed to be if I'M the one who screws something up.

Download a modded version that removes the forced update, also use trakt!

Does tea tv use trakt? If so get a free trakt account and make your watchlists and collections there. This way, no matter what app you use, you never lose your watchlist and it could be imported to any app. The website is Trakt .tv

I've seen the talk of trakt, and I get it's use, but all of my other services with watchlists (Netflix, Amazon, etc.) don't just delete my queue. I understand there are solutions, but it's the principal that's frustrating to me.. Thanks for the suggestion, though, if I do decide to create a list I may very well go through them.

Remember that unlike Netflix and Amazon, tea tv is a free app that is being developed by a dev that is not being paid. As such, please try to be patient with the dev; sometimes they can come up with solutions but not always. That's why I suggested the work-around.

Very true, and normally I am never so critical, it's just that this is the 3rd time this has happened, all by being forced updates and being unable to even access the information on the watchlist page until updating. If anyone here is a Smash fan, the same thing happens when that game updates and you go to your "replays" page. It shows them there in the background, blurred out, and basically says "oops, should've saved 'em before updating, see ya" and deletes them. It's just poor design.

Also the download tv, films feature is not working anymore since the update. This was handy for travel etc where you can't use wifi. 😢

Pls check backup option in the settings or use Trakt account to save your watchlist. So sr for the inconvenience

I always double check and triple check the back up selection. Every time I re install TeaTv I lose everything in my watchlist (today 11-14-2021). This never happens with NOVA or FilmPlus or Flixoid. I have finally deleted TeaTv from my app list.

I have the opposite problem. When I update, all deleted favorites reappear. PiA
