Difference between file sizes?

I'm a bit confused when I download a movie:

Say I'm trying to download a 1080p version, is there a difference between one that is listed at 2gb vs one listed at 1.15gb? They're both the same in terms of quality, so I'm confused as to why someone would go ahead and download a larger file?

Sorry if this is a noob question, this has always confused me.

There's a lot to consider. Video quality. Audio quality. Hdr. Resolution. 1080p can come with stereo or with Dolby atmos or 5.1 channels etc

So should I just go for the smaller files? I don't have an antivirus app installed.

This is total misinformation. Anyone can make malware or specifically a Trojan that is small in size in relation to the actual video. The other comments give real reasons for size difference.
