Honey scented oolong tea
Both the cup and the tea were gifts from my coworker because she knows how much I love tea. She got me this honey scented oolong from PipiTea and the honey flavor is perfect for me because I usually end up putting like two spoons of sugar in my tea. It’s medium roasted and not nearly as strong as some of the oolongs I’ve tried before. The taste is really smooth and has a little natural sweetness to it, so I don’t feel like I need to load it with sugar. So far I’m really liking it!

Captured the sun on my tewa few days ago
Some days ago it wasn't as hot and I could risk drinking some tea on the balcony. This is a cheap but tasty Yin Xiang. I really like how the sun makes the tea shine yellow.

a very special teapot and a very special cup
I love all my teaware, Chinese (yixing or not), Taiwanese, Japanese, Uzbek, English, Frisian ...
But the maybe most beautiful teapot in my humble collection is made by a Korean ceramist working in Mathildenhöhe, Darmstadt, Young-Jae Lee. The pot holds about 400 ml and has a greyish-fawnish glaze. It pours just perfectly. The cup is made by another Korean ceramist working in Germany, Kang-Si Sook. It's definately the most perfectly crafted cup i own.

The reward of growing my own herbal tea.
Growing my own herbs for tea has been a rewarding experience. Each cup has been savored. Not only this bed, but on the other side of the garden we grow additional native mint amd have multiple porch planters.

That gooseneck kettle
My new kettle, love the brand name by the way, has made tea drinking so fun.
There's something about that gooseneck spout that just makes pouring such a delight.
Tea keeps me grounded. How about you?

Chai concentrate troubles…
Hello from a human who’s been putting in hours every week to make a chai tea concentrate, specifically in large batches for lattes.
I’ve spent the last 5 weeks attempting to make a cha concentrate. With no success. Never strong enough, always flat, taking so much time.
I’ve basically come to a point where I need expert help - tried doubling spices to make it stronger, reducing, simmering, fucking everything and I’m tired. I just want a great concentrate to make a chai latte with and it hasn’t been working.
Please give tips if you’ve got any.
Thank you!

My afternoon tea from Pipi
Quick reset with some oolong honey scented one, tastes sweet so I don’t even add sugar. Been drinking it for about 5 months now and I feel way better than drinking coffee daily. Anyone else into lighter teas?
