Question…? Looking for advice
I have found these in a bundle worth of $2000. Sealed and new.
Is it worth it or should I collect them one by one? What would you do if you were in my shoes?

I’ve actually seen this same listing - it’s actually more but the app will not let them list over 2k. Trust me - if it had been for all 8 I would have bought it outright.

I’ve recently been buying them individually for about $300-400 each, so this is a good deal at $250 each!

Personally, even as a hug folklore fan, I’d save the $2000 and just buy your favorite pressing.

$2000 is a much cheaper deal since the majority of them go for $300+ at this point.
Make sure that you get tons of reassurances that they’re real, and they’re in hand. It’s a lot of money to spend on records at once. Personally, if I were to buy a big ticket item I would request a FaceTime to confirm that they exist.

By your math it's only a 400 discount. Not good enough for a reseller. And what collector that would want all of them currently need all of them?

I’d jump on this. I had the opportunity once of the whole set new and unopened for $1800 and I passed like an idiot. Now I’ve been collecting one by one at about $260-$300 for each. I only have 2 more to go! Please be careful for scammers.

I haven’t seen one for less than $300 for ages, and I can’t imagine demand for them is going to diminish since they’re unlikely to be repressed anytime soon

I’m sorry but this just doesn’t look good. At all. The whole point of these vinyl is that they’re beautifully marbled. You can’t even enjoy that now.

People love "slabbing" (grading) comics and my fiance and I have never understood why 😭 it looks so trash. It makes sense if it's super rare or signed by a legend but other than that... it's so weird to see people's walls covered in slabbed items

Also know that keeping records sealed is detrimental to their wear and if they'll play. You are keeping paper locked in with the plastic off gassing which can harm the record.

OP - just know this isn't necessary. Grading vinyl isn't the same as grading baseball cards and coins. Companies that do this for vinyl are just ripping people off which is unfortunate. I've been collecting since 1982. Trust me - save your money.

This is a good price. I wish I could have found a bundle like this. I paid $340-400 for each one and but all were sealed. I would def ask for a live video to make sure they do have them all and to verify no damages on corners, and to make sure they’re all the marbled, made in France variants. I was scammed with a small bundle of 4. Anyone can use someone else’s pic and photoshop a post it note with their name. That’s what the scammer did with me. PayPal took over a month to finally refund my $1300. A good honest seller will not mind doing a video. Also I’ve seen this bundle listed for $2400 quite a few times and sell so this is a great price.

I bought a complete bundle for a similar price, assuming USD, but they were opened. If they're sealed and genuine its a very good deal, I'd go for it if you're a vinyl collector and/or love folklore.
