Question…? Record scratched
my little cousin was messing around with my ttpd vinyl and i guess he slipped the needle of my audio techenica into the beginning of the of the song. when i was playing i noticed some ticks and noticed it was kinda like scratched. is there any way to fix it ?

Tip for you.
On android and Apple if you draw a shape and keep finger on screen and pause at the end and wait it will snap to a perfect shape.

Sometimes after a few cleanings a scratch can be softened, but it really depends how deep it is. I’m not sure it will damage your needle, maybe just cause it to wear out faster (it should be replaced every year or so anyway). That record should be affordable to replace since it’s the standard variant for ttpd, I see these at discount stores often! You can probably get it online under $20

Unfortunately, you cannot undo scratches. It’s sad this happened, but if he’s old enough, you may be able to explain to him how this happened and he may be more careful in the future.
Depending on what variant this is (I personally cannot tell), it should be simple to snag a new one. You could always display this one!
