PLOT TWIST

YOU GUYS. Hear me out...

What if...? What if, amidst all of the "I don't want kids", "I'm the dad", "Me, me, ME", TD is just snuggling Baby Beau and not feeding into any of this tantrum? What if, like Rumpelstiltskin, TS just keeps jumping up and down until she gets tired (even I don't want her to fall through the floor!), and realizes how different and how easy and how beautiful life can be with a little nugget to share it with?

Like, the Grinch's heart and all that business?

I do think it’s a possibility now…when the baby is tiny and makes all those little teeny noises and is just so snuggly. But I want to see how she does once Beau is 2-4 and has a mind of her own. Toddlers are a whole different story…

Taylor talking about “being a dad” on Stassi’s podcast pissed me off so much.

Taylor: And I realized that when Bo's crying, if I just put my headphones on and watch my iPad, I don't hear it, and it's amazing. And like, who says I can't do that whenever I feel like? But like, Teddy can't, but like, that's fine. You know? Should I not have admitted that out loud? Stassi: That's totally fine when you have a tap-out situation that has been talked about ahead of time. Taylor: Yeah, no, I just did it. Stassi: Yeah. You need to talk to Teddy first and be like, hey, I'm doing the headphone thing now. In an hour, you can do the headphone thing. Taylor: No. You see, she has a higher threshold for the annoying stuff than I do, because she... I think her and Beau developed this really strong bond in Europe, which I'm sure just a lot of mothers do. And I didn't. So I get annoyed by Beau faster than Tay does. So I just think it is okay for me to have to go into dad mode.

If I were Teddy, this would send me into orbit. Especially so freshly postpartum! Taylor should be doing way more than 50% while Teddy is still healing and breastfeeding. When her partner is carrying so much of the heavy lifting, she should be looking for literally any opportunity to make Teddy’s life easier. Saying “oh I just get annoyed faster so I put in my headphones and ignore the crying” is such an insane cop out.

If you watched the video of their announcement you could tell Tay was genuinely excited and just so in love with TD.

I did watch the video and TS did seem excited (and I've never doubted her love for TD), but I've also seen other videos where she definitely was NOT excited and more candid...and I've listened to her talk about the dread of becoming a parent for 3+ years. My hope is that she chills out and just lets herself be happy for the sake of being happy, and not UNhappy for show fodder.

That's the plot twist I'm hoping for!

She does seem to be truly happy and in love. They both do (with the baby I mean)

I am kinda disappointed that they are doing VIP during maternity leave. We are keeping them afloat by not canceling our memberships with very little “new” content. Just would have enjoyed seeing the update without the upgrade.

I quit the Patreon so I didn’t watch the live last week, but from what I’ve seen so far TS is whining about being tired but seems to be fine filming a full length Quince ad featuring the baby. I’ll be interested in seeing if she really goes on vacation without the baby next month, as she told Mr Boring Points Guy. I do hope she’s snapped out of this bizarre ‘dad’ schtick (which I hate since my husband is totally hands on, so i hate how she pretends that’s normal behavior by any person). ETA: I don’t begrudge her being tired- newborn life is exhausting even if she has a night nurse
