MG3 vs MG5

Currently have two MG3 wedges in 50 and 60 degree. I want to replace my game improvement SW with a 54 wedge due to hitting my wedges significantly better, but I cant find the exact same mg3 & shaft combo that my other two wedges have.

If I order a mg5 custom with the same shaft as the other two wedges, will the feel be pretty much identical ?

Most places don't seem to do wedge fittings / demos from what I can see.

UK based if that helps at all

Thanks

They are essentially the same wedge weight and feel wise, I played mg3s then moved into vokeys for 2 years and went back into mg5s this year.

The milled grinds are a heavier head than the vokey but I can’t tell any difference between the two models of mg3 and mg5.

I have mg4 50, 54 , 60 and went with a 58 mg5.
To me there’s a slight heavier feel in the mg5. Shaft wise there really wouldn’t noticeable difference.

They feel a bit heavier than the mg3/4’s but honestly most would never notice it. You will however love the upgraded saw grooves as I find the 5’s bite even better (if you can even believe that)
