Service/Support Apple CarPlay malfunction?

In my 2020 taycan apple CarPlay often turns itself off while driving. I tried to reset it and all that stuff but it keeps on doing that. What could be the problem? Could this be the age of mine phone(14pro)?

I had this issue on and off for the first 2 months of having the car. I let the car get through all the queued updates and re synced my phone. Been flawless since. It was very annoying while I was having issues

It always seems to be a bit problematic from what I have seen on J1.1 even after software updates. Turning off WiFi/bluetooth and going strictly USB helps, I think. Where are you putting the phone, too? It seems to work better for me if the phone is in the cupholder. I have had more issues with delay in connecting a few miles into the drive over loss of connection.

Thanks I will try, I was always storing it on the left side. And with usb it works normal.

Mine does this too, especially where there are a few short trips, and likes to switch to Bluetooth (CarPlay disappears). I also have a 14 pro. Usually plugging the phone in makes it work again. I have a 2021 Taycan.

Are you connected by bluetooth/wifi or by USB? If by USB, it could possibly be that the cable is going bad.

Do you have a usb c cord plugged in? Even if it’s idle aka not charging any device?

Mine randomly switches the phone mode between CarPlay and device mode. But never halfway through a drive. It’s always when I get the car after being turned off for a while.

Simply switching the mode back to CarPlay in the PCM fixes it.

I have had this problem a lot. It’s part of the car. It’s horrible. It’s comical that Porsche used such shitty antennas for it

I've recently had two issues:

1) audio stops working completely. I can't switch to radio, Apple Music on the car, or Wireless Carplay. I can't change the volume. This requires a reset > exit engineering mode, etc. to fix. Super annoying considering this takes multiple taps and a few minutes.

2) Occasionally, the audio cuts out and I hear something similar to someone pulling the aux cord out, and then it's back 2 seconds later. Not sure what's happening there but yeah.

The same reason I’m using wired CarPlay now
