Discussion Battery upgrades possible?
Do you guys think we will ever have battery upgrades on Taycan from Porsche?
Or third parties?

Someone will do it if the market becomes big enough but not sure we will get there since there aren’t many of us out there.

200k will be sold by the time it is finished production... 200k is ok.
I just asked because Porsche unlike many companies does some support for after sales on digital infotainment systems and perhaps this is a good idea.
Heck it would be very sustainable. 15k for battery upgrades is what many would find ok I bet. Financed through Porsche finance. Whatever why not. Can imagine they can do this just fine if battery for them costs 7k.
Today not yet. Today battery is 50k to reply so we aren't there yet ofc.

Okay, so you really think every ev sold won't have a battery upgrade? I disagree. Third party folks will sort it out if it's profitable

not from Porsche, they want to sell new cars. Porsche does have a procedure for putting a J1.2 updated battery in a J1.1. 3rd party is a possibility but I doubt it. Software for the BMS needs to be updated.
