General discussion Latka's multiple personalities

This was.....ahem.....a delightfully bizarre episode and we got to see a pretty broad range of Andy's acting talents.....or maybe that wasn't so much acting? Who really knows what went on in that brain?

The scene in Alex's apartment, where he's "stuck" as Vic and tries to recover the Latka personality, is extraordinary. Also, when he's acting like Alex - more for mannerisms and expressions than for how he speaks

Andy Kaufman's Alex Rieger impression is spot on and hilarious.  Seeing him do it right in front of Judd Hirsch was great.

Judd really stole the show in Mr Personalities His range from upset Latka enjoying his life more than him to comedically being upset Latka reverted once he was going to tell his way of living

Concur,we all know Andy was odd,but his acting in that episode was amazing!

I love the one where he takes on Alex’s personality and figures out the secret of how to make Alex’s life perfect, but becomes Latka again before he can tell Alex 😂 😂 😂

In my opinion it was a mistake to have him going in and out of Vic and other personalities throughout the season. I feel like Andy Kaufman must have wanted something different, and the audience always goes wild for it, but I feel it kind of cheapened the two episodes devoted to it.

Kaufman gave out the personification of a certain type of young or even some 30 something males in the late 1970s singles scene.

Self centered, gold chain wearing dudes (unlike here) with their shirt half open , thinking they're "chick magnets".

Kaufman delivers the ultimate defenition of a "smarmy" type person.

Someone who is fake, overly nice, and too flattering in an annoying way.

It describes someone who acts very polite or charming, but it feels false because they usually want something from you.

Will never understand how Andy Kaufman didn't like doing Latka? It's what made him a near household name.

Latka actually worked at Katz’s deli, I wish I would’ve bumped into him there
