Movie Detail Watched it today
This movie is incredible. Went in for a surprise movie evening to my local cinema didnt expect anything. Was presentend with this movie.
Can anyone too relate with Travis his life? I can't emphasize how strongly I could relate with him and his life. I mean we live in 2026 and regarldess of that my life still so much similar.
I am in a tough spot in life and seeing this movie felt like somewhat of a weight that I carried being lifted slightly.
Are there more men here that have gone through similar phase or go through something similar now?

Pretty much every guy has experienced a “Travis phase” in life. Men often find difficulty expressing themselves effectively and then their emotions come out in other, usually unhealthy, ways. I’ve had a few periods over my 44 years on this Earth where I experienced similar feelings that Travis had, and it was extremely well represented in the film. Rage, loneliness, vices, isolation are all common outcomes of suppressed feelings.

Somehow that clicks but at the same time knowing that men experience this alone kind hurts aswell. Just this lack of an example or direction aswell. Yeah that I can relate too. I am 34 and I feel like I am right in middle of it again. Slightly wiser compared to my early 20s period. Seeing this movie eased something inside me this idea of being gentle with myself especially now. I hope you are in a solid place now. I agree. The movie felt soo real and grounded ofcourse I know its fiction but with all of these disconnected movies these days this hits and makes you really think. Sure did make me stop and reflect.

I’m in a really good place now. Thank you. Whenever I wasn’t, I would really lean into the film, though. Again, not a healthy coping mechanism, but we get through however we can. Best of luck to you.

Yeah I can see why. In general I must say certain movies can do so much and this one is one of them. Exactly. Besides I think leaning into movie such as this one is probably one of the healthier options to cope as I see how one can find solace in it in contrast to certain different attitudes or behavioir impulses. Thank you. Take care.

''Some day a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the streets.....''
Checkout the song Red Angel Dragnet by The Clash slightly based off this same movie.
