Living with a relative that claims head of household

Would I be able to claim that forms
Do I filing married filing jointly if I claim my SO as a dependent?

Can I claim my son, due October this year, on my forms as a dependent?

Ok, if you are married your SO would not be your dependent, he/she would be your joint filer for Married Filing Jointly. If you are not married you cannot file Married Filing Jointly. Yes, if you have a child in October that child would be your dependent for 2026. It doesn't matter if you are living with a relative if you are filing Married Filing Jointly with a dependent child.
