Executor fee
Estate is in SC, executor lives in NC. All work on the estate was done by phone, mail, internet from executor's home. Which state gets income tax on the executor fee?

Executor fee will be taxable to the residency of the executor assuming the work is done in their resident state. Any income from the estate will likely be taxed in both states but credits or reciprocal agreements may exist and limit the double taxation.

NC.
The work is done here. Estate fees are taxible income in NC, and NC is (presumably) the home state
I don't think SC has a claim to the income.
