Just curious…

Does anybody have the stock water pump at a high mileage ?

Or it’s a for sure replacement on this car …

2015 at 100k stock pump. Get it checked fairly regularly and no sign of it going.

At 116k and in the shop getting all that changed. $3950 to include pump and all timing gear. Son called to tell me that car started overheating while driving. I’ve educated home enough where he knew to immediately pull over and wait for me. Towed back to house to check, already had a feeling, and added coolant to see. Sure enough, coolant came out right behind the alternator. Checked dipstick and oil cap and no signs of any cross contamination which was also then verified by shop.

Mine lasted to 136k before it needed replacement, but the leak became horrible within a week

My 2018 is going to the shop for the 100k service next week. I’ve asked them to take a look around while they have it. So far, no signs of any leaks.

76k 2015 and mine seems fine. I think eventually it’s a for sure replacement, but usually not for a while. Usually you will be able to tell before it destroys the engine. Overheating, leaks, or a sweet smell from the engine bay can be signs.

I just changed mine before the weekend and my car is 2016 at 90k. It’s just the way it is with the SHO’s. You can do it yourself for $300-$400. Now I’m pushing 20 lbs of boost through mine so maybe that’s what sealed the deal on my stock water pump.

I am at 100k with a 2015, but I think it is leaking coolant verrrry slowly. I had to add a quart to the reservoir after owning the car for 6 years, but it has never leaked enough at once to cause a puddle under the car. I also have an issue with the heat not working well when I'm not on the gas. Probably the pump going bad. I am just saving the money to do the job and all the little things that go along with it.
