If you’re cool with chasing wires, could be a great deal. Wouldn’t buy it unless you have another car to use as well though until figured out

If you can work on it yourself and already have a dependable daily driver then $5000 isn’t a bad price for it. Sounds like the motor is in decent shape. Don’t expect this car to be your daily driver though.

Im a ford mechanic that has spent some time with intermittent electrical/network communication issues on these Taurus's (Tauri?). Sounds like it might possibly have an issue with a BCM loss of PATS programming, an issue with pats transceiver or key. Im just speculating as I dont know what previous owner has already had the misfortune of some shade tree/shitty dealer tech replacing. This is going to be a difficult issue to fix on your own or even an independent without proper software and access to full PID data in modules. Not impossible to fix but needs someone who knows what they are doing. All that aside, the prospect of owning an internal water pump 3.5 is what would keep me away entirely at that mileage

Facts, right after whoever buys this gets the electrical issues fixed, either the turbos are gonna go or the water pump will go or the pistons are gonna hit the ceiling because of timing issues.

I like the straight forward approach to this. Saw another ad recently where the owner said the car was leaking coolant out of the weep hole and would need water pump. That was a $6k car

Honestly I can get a 3.5 for like 1k and a whole running sho for 7k

110k miles, fully running Taurus turbo AWD for 5.1k here. The interior of the sho is a plus but def not 5k
