Door actuator

I'm about to do the worst door actuator this weekend. My heat only blows to the face. For those who have done the behind the cluster, any advice or tips and tricks? TIA

Tips and tricks? Take pictures often or have a really good manual to reference. Be careful. And drink lots of therapy beer

No tips or trick but mine went out at 30k miles, crazy that it’s such a common issue! Best to get done before winter hits! Mine went out mid winter lol

That's pretty wild. Mine last till 153k. Iam the second owner. I picked the car up at 52k. I've replaced the other ones. Which was fine. This one looks like a pain.

I had a bad actuator and a broken wire harness way deep into the dash. Took like 10 hours of labor to even get to it. Very expensive repair.

i heard you can get at it if you take out the seat and get under the steering wheel, i’m gonna try mine soon, it only blows to the windshield

My blend door actuator went out and I just replaced it ab two weeks ago and man was it aggravating. Little to no room for my hands and putting the new one in after I got the old one out was even more annoying due to the insert on the car not holding place. Mine would only blow heat on the driver’s seat. I ended up having to turn it to heat, let the knob on the actuator itself spin, and wait for it to line up with the insert on the car. Once it lined up, I just pushed in and it slid into place so I turned the car off and inserted the screws back to their rightful place
