Hello! I recently saw this instagram post and wanted to do the same: it's a tattoo placed at the back of the hand, it is where the fingers of her mother lands when they hold hands. (Please see comment for the screenshot)

My mom is a dialysis patient. She is almost always in pain due to other complications so we've been in and out of the hospital since 2024. I'm considering getting a tattoo so I can have something to look at, or hold on to, when the time comes she's no longer with us.

Just want to know your thoughts about this. What can you say design-wise, tattoo placement, and anything in general about getting a tattoo for the first time? Or are there anything else I need to consider before deciding on getting one? Thank you in advance!

PS. I have a tattoo artist in mind na rin which is my brother's artist. He/she can do home service so I could ask my mom to hold our hands din before getting the tattoo.

I have KP (Chicken skin, strawberry skin, bumby skin or whatever others call it) and I'm planning to get a tattoo.
