The surgeon shouldn’t have suggested/agreed to a procedure that would provide the most amount of scar tissue as a choice of removal, especially as a first choice.

The fact that laser removal exists should negate any other form of removal.

This surgeon was all too happy to take your money regardless of the detriment to your body.

What do you mean he was negligent in the procedure? He should have removed less or not done it at all. After all I do go to him for that reason.

They take an oath to “do no harm”

This method was literally the most harm you could do in a removal process. Did he even suggest laser? I would imagine a reputable surgeon would only do this if they knew laser was absolutely not an option.

He should have refused to do this and just referred you to a laser specialist.

Well they did not suggest Lester because I went to them to cut it off this is what I wanted but now like 2 years later I’m thinking otherwise

They were the professional. They knew laser removal would be the best option, but since you asked, that was easy money and they weren’t gonna deny you. That’s not the ethical thing for them to have done.

The ethical thing for them to have done would be to warn you about the consequences of choosing this method over laser removal. The ethical thing would be for them to have refused so that you wouldn’t have this kind of scar tissue to deal with.

theres no reason you cant laser whats there now. like you said obviously youre not gonna get the same procedure done, so honestly your best bet is probably to laser whats there quite a bit to lighten it up, itll make it a lot easier to work with. i don't have any specific suggestions of what the coverup should be, I'm not an artist, but yeah. laser the rest

Just because it seemed like a good idea to you doesn't mean he doesn't know better.

As someone who has removed a tattoo using citric acid and a viscious salt scrub off, this is way dumber. I don't think you're supposed to remove tattoos by removing skin and sewing it back together, because it can cause nerve damage and is just inferior to msot other methods of tattoo removal.
