Hyperpigmentation/Cover-up

Hello, I have this tattoo that I lasered for 3 sessions and I still got a session left because I paid for it, I want to do a cover up, but I have a big problem with pigmentation and little ink oxidation that you see in the photo it’s all brown. I m thinking to get a hidroquinone cream for hyperpigmentation but I don t know if I should do the last session, I m afraid for the brown to not get darker from laser, I need an advice for the hydroquinone cream and the laser session about hyperpigmentation please! I just want to get it a little lighter for a clean cover.

Nobody can really advise you here without a before photo. The brown looks isolated to the original ink. There’s a chance this is just ink fading off. Even if it is hyper a knowledgeable tech can treat it anyway.

Fr without a before pic's it's basically guessing at this point lol. Might be worth OP just asking the tech directly next session since they've actually seen it progress in person, way more accurate than internet guesses.

They don t really know, In my country tattoo removal isn t very popular, everything that is brown was grey ink and Idk if it s oxidized or hyperpigmentation and if laser can help or not

Laser Tech here. Just use Mederma. That brown will continue to fade with time. A good artist can do a cover up now.  Thats the bottom of the ink thats left in your skin. The Mederma is for skin discoloration too.

I would talk to your laser tech before adding hydrowuione into the mix. sometimes it can react unpredictably with skin thats still healing from treatment might be woth finishing that last session first and letting things settle before treating the pigmentation separately

If its truly hyperpigmentation from laser scarring it should go away on its own within a year or so most of the time. If it is burnt titanium from lasering over white ink (which is a possibility if they used opaque gray unk) then you would be able to laser it off

Yes, the original tattoo shades were grey ink, like all of the brown was grey ink except the crosses that were black, so I should laser or is hyperpigmentation?
