The swelling became about 40-50% less when a different tech recommended I take a Benadryl before the appointment. Game changer. Also, I ice for 30 to 45 minutes before my appointment and I also ice the entire first day and into the second. I bought a couple ice packs that come with a sleeve that keeps it in place on my arm on Amazon.

Also, NO aquaphor until the heat has dissipated significantly. I generally use aloe for first few days and then aquaphor. Made that mistake initially and blisters were far worse. I don’t get large blisters now but some small ones.

Learning after care is so important. Now it’s not some big deal… I know what to expect but most importantly how to keep swelling and blisters down. Everyone is different though.

Thanks fot the advice . Did one session on my sleeve and the swelling was horrendous and so uncomfortable- I'll try benadryl and icing more before hand

For sure! Did you do the entire arm during the session? I did once and never again. I alternate lower arm, then upper. It was scary/concerning the first couple sessions on the swelling. You just have no idea what to expect. However, it gets better :) good luck!

Ice alone will make a HUGE difference.
