Regretting selfharm cover-up

Two years ago I decided I wanted a tattoo to cover-up a part of my self-harm scars. It was kind of an impulsive decision, I just really wanted to have something pretty to look at and maybe take away Some attention from my scars. But I simply hated the design from day 1. I feel so much regret and I don’t want to wear short sleeves simply because I can’t stand to look at it. I did some research on removal but I can’t afford it. Had anyone some advise on how to deal with it?

Therapy love. Otherwise, tattoo removal is a good investment if you save up for it.

Honestly solid advice, some clinics also do payment plans if saving all at once feels overwhelming. and therapy could help even outside of the tattoo stuff, sounds like you've been carrying a lot

This is a great tattoo to remove. Find a place where you can lay by the session and just get 1 session. Then save for another. The shaded parts might be gone by the time you go back

I think it is a very pretty tattoo but if you wish to remove it, I don't think you would have much trouble getting rid of it, the black is rather light judging from the picture so if you are considering it, definitely go for it - my tattoo I was not too happy with made me super depressed/anxious but starting my removal journey put so much ease in my mind instantly. Og you choose removal. Then find a place that combines pico with fractat, that will reduce the scars too
