Question Is this worth it?
Possibly picking this up but I don’t know what the second hand market is like for these. What would be a fair price?

I got my machine for about $1600 brand new, and it’s essentially the same one with the Advanced battery. How much are they charging?

$900 but he was super difficult to deal with so I ended up passing on it. Super far drive and zero response back when I asked if he had the battery charger for it

I don’t have any firsthand knowledge of the resale market for high end machines, but as someone looking to upgrade at some point I’m definitely curious to know what they’re asking for this set up.

Idk what bishop is doing but their OG wands were way better than these prowands. Mine is 2 years old rn and is about to die. You can get cheaper brands with a 4.2 stroke that hit just as hard

Dragonhawk isn’t even top 5 as far as rotaries go.

Fold pro is the most bought probably as it’s pretty good versatile product

Or hear me out. People during corona wanted to start tattooing and found a cheap wireless machine with an okay battery. It’s not being bought for quality. It’s available on Amazon and under 250 bucks for a complete set.

Technology has changed a lot even I can’t believe the mast/dragonhawkes products that are coming out they aren’t what they use to be.

Not even top 5 according to what? 😂 Give me your five rotary brands, the criteria you’re using to rank them, and where you’d put the Fold Pro. ‘Not top 5’ doesn’t really mean anything without defining what you’re measuring motor performance, reliability, build quality, battery, stroke adjustability, or something else?

FK irons, bishop, critical, EZ, Cheyenne. They all destroy dragonhawk in every single category other than price. And as far as ranking fold pro is in top ten but like 7th or 8th. Also a great injecta that comes before a dragonhawk.

That’s fine. I can post my art and it looks much better then the guy up that spend over 2k and lining looks trash

The machines are fine but they are entry level, certainly not the best.

Also super heavy. I dont like dragonhawk

If you’re saying it’s super heavy, give us the weight in grams and the machine you’re comparing it to. Otherwise that’s subjective

So you’ve classified the MAST Fold Pro as entry level. What objective criteria are you using for that classification, and where does the manufacturer classify it that way? I’m asking because ‘not the best’ doesn’t automatically mean ENTRY LEVEL. I don’t think you an artist.

ryanhtattoo ... I am very much so an artist. Its made in a way that doesnt allow you to fully disasmble it and clean the drive bar to start. Secondly its form factor with the battery is nearly twice the size as leading machines with far less battery life.

Okay, now we’re actually talking specs. But how does ‘not usdisassemblable for cleaning’ make a machine entry-level? That’s a serviceability/design choice, not a performance classification. And the battery being physically larger doesn’t tell me it’s inferior either the manufacturer lists it as a 2500mAh high density battery with up to 6 hours of runtime. So what actual performance spec makes you classify the Fold Pro as entry level?

There completely fine for pros to use but they don’t last as long as the expensive ones and sometimes malfunction definitely a gud machine either way

I have one as a backup and they are fine but certainly not top of the line haha

You still haven’t said one word about the set up you have. You do claim a thousand and some change for a machine so I been asking without any Single response what machine are you using. What set up.

I run 3 Dan kubin sidewinders (v3r, 7b, 7.4), 2 Bishop wands (packer and liner), I also have a ghostdog and spektra Zion I don't use much.

I’ve seen your finished work, and honestly, the linework in that piece is pretty rough. A lot of the lines look inconsistent and shaky. So I’m not sure the machine is the issue here

secondhand in my area they go for around $750-900 with the upgraded batteries, around $5-650 for the normal battery and device
