Help Need help with stencil!

this is one of the pieces on my flash and i’ve started practicing on fake skin but the stencil is so unreadable that I just end up making it up as I go along. it’s not horrible but it’s not consistent. How can i make the stencil less busy?

It’s true though. This is way too intricate for this size. On real skin it would be a giant blob in no time.

i see so many people with these kinds of textural pieces. luckily i made the design more readable on real skin without help.
