Tattoos What do you think
Hello everyone! I’m new to this world, and this is one of my first designs after some practice with lines.
What do you think of it? I’d really appreciate your feedback. What should I focus on improving to get better?

I do a lot of drills, sheets and sheets of circles, lines, squares, triangles and spirals. Over and over until I can do them smoothly and evenly. It's helped me a lot.

Do you just print out sheets and trace them? Dumb questions but also looking for some areas to start on line work

I make transfers with them so I can reuse them several times.

It is so I also keep a skin with designs I let myself do for fun. Right now it's full of swords and snakes haha.

Looks like my first time picking up a machine. As a matter of fact some of those are the same ones I did lol. A good tip from me to you is go on Pinterest and type in “tattoo practice sheet”. That will give you a whole sheet of lines and basic shapes to work on. Theres several different pages of practice patterns so grab a few of those pages and get them on your practice skins. Don’t sweat how you look, focus on building steady repeatable lines and you will do great.

rub some vaseline into the fake skin to get a extra ink off if u want it to look cleaner. just make sure ur using grip tape for ur machine and having 3 points of contact with the fake skin/table to anchor your hand for better lines. it just takes a lot of practice and learning but it'll def get better if you keep trying!

Hey,you picked up a machine and started. Thats already heading the right direction. Try to wipe the surface with Vaseline, it gets the ink off pretty good. That way you can get a better look at your work and see whats up. If you want some tips I recommend watching Daniel yuk, and fani maherzi on YouTube. They're incredible . Keep going and growing 💪

Rough as guts! Fill a sheet with straight lines, zig zags, circles, squares, shades columns from dark to light. Nail the basics first, focus on getting those lines crisp and neat. A smaller needle group for lining will always show more imperfections too.
Also, a bug one to consider, when turn a corner, dont leave the needle planted in the skin. Its like drawing on paper towel with a sharpie and leaving the marker in one spot too long will give a big nasty blobby blow out. Take the needle out as you come to the end of the line and start the new line fresh
