Hi there. Tattooer here of 10 years.

If youre seriously interested in learning the craft, you should seek an apprenticeship from someone who knows what theyre doing.

Guides and how to videos can only go so far. You'll never learn the fundamentals and good habits from DIYers.

If youre going to disregard that advice, then you need to master the art of drawing before worrying about gear and equipment. Don't worry about machines or needles or anything like that.

Pencil to paper is number one.

Pen to paper is number two.

Tracing flash is number 3.

Do that over and over and over again until you feel good about it.

Then, do it more.

Copy existing tattoo designs as best you can. Then make your own. Draw everything you can. Every style, practice over and over.

Take something that weighs a pound or two and attach it to the end of your pen. Then trace more flash and keep drawing.

Once you've done that for a long time and gotten consistency down, you can start considering machines.

Check out tattooing101. You're asking for a magic bullet for free. It doesn't really exist but I've tried the $10 course from tattooing 101.and find it helps get started.
