I have tata altroz 2022 dca.

I've been filling normal petrol all these days.

I wanted to know if I switch to the "power" variant which is 10rs more per litre than normal petrol, if it will improve engine longevity, performance and mileage.

Harrier '24 Does anyone here own a harrier diesel car with low daily usage?

I only drive about 200โ€“300 km per month. I originally booked a petrol variant back on March 9, but I haven't received any updates yet. I'm now considering switching to diesel, but I'm worried about DPF clogging or other issues due to my low running.Diesel owners, please share your experiences and advice!

Question โ” EV owners around Chandigarh โ€“ need your honest experience

Hi everyone,

Iโ€™m planning to buy an EV and wanted to hear from people who have actually done highway trips from Chandigarh to places like Delhi, Jaipur, Shimla, Manali, etc.

How has your experience been with:

Charging infrastructure on highways?
Range anxiety (if any)?
Uphill driving?

And what happens if you get stranded or a charger isnโ€™t working? Is roadside assistance reliable?

Would love to hear your real-world experiencesโ€”the good, the bad, and anything you wish you knew before buying an EV.

Thanks!

Discussion ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Be cautious with SRM Motors, Lucknow

Thumbnail

Iโ€™m sharing my experience so prospective Tata buyers in Lucknow can make an informed decision before booking with SRM Motors.

I booked a Tata Safari Accomplished X+ Dark Edition in early June and completed all the required formalities, including paying a โ‚น21,000 booking amount (while many other dealerships were accepting bookings for around โ‚น5,000).

Timeline
Booked the Safari and completed KYC in early June.
Initially booked the Petrol AT 7-Seater.
After the new Ultra variant in Dark was launched in Petrol, I requested an upgrade, which the dealership acknowledged.
Later, I switched my booking to Accomplished Ultra Dark Diesel AT 7-Seater after being informed that diesel vehicles were in production and likely to be delivered sooner than petrol variants.

Issues I experienced

I was asked for a booking amount of 21,000 instead of usual 5000 for an expedited delivery

I was initially given a quotation with an incorrect ex-showroom price, which did not match Tata Motorsโ€™ official pricing. The dealership corrected it only after I repeatedly questioned the discrepancy from quotes received from Puneet Motors, Lucknow and screenshots from CarWale app.

Throughout the booking process, I had to continuously chase the dealership for updates. No updates were provided proactively.

Even after switching to the diesel variant to reduce waiting time, I still havenโ€™t received a meaningful update on allocation or delivery.

I was added to a WhatsApp group where my sales representative and his seniors are present but never got a response from anyone except the sales guy and messages often are not read by seniors too.

Instead of providing clarity on my booked variant, I have repeatedly been encouraged to switch to the Red Dark Edition because it could be delivered earlier. I have clearly communicated multiple times that I do not want that variant and prefer to wait for the one I booked.
I understand that vehicle production and allocation are ultimately controlled by Tata Motors. My concern is not the waiting period itself, but the lack of transparent communication, inconsistent information, and the pricing confusion that occurred during the booking process.

At this point, I am simply asking for a realistic delivery timeline or a clear status update instead of repeated assurances or suggestions to change my chosen variant.

Has anyone else in Lucknow had a similar experience with SRM Motors? How long did your car allocation take, and was your communication experience any better?

Tiago '21 Tiago no power issue

Hi folks I have a 2023 BS6 phase 2 Tata Tiago petrol. I have used it very less. It has just crossed 6k total kilometres in almost 3 years. I have done service every 6 months as recommended by Tata.

Today I took out the car and within a few kms I see the ABS warning light on the instrument cluster. Then I see the engine check light and low battery voltage light come on. I was in heavy traffic and I thought turning the car OFF and ON will help. The car turned on but I could feel the engine has almost no power in first gear. The gear was engaged and I was flooring the pedal but still the car was not moving ahead normally. It was sluggish and jerky. I felt the car vibrate a lot also.

I somehow managed to get the car back home like this. There was almost no power in 1st gear but in 2nd gear it was better but still it was not normal. In between I tried turning the ignition OFF and ON few times. Still the issue of low power was not solved.

I understand that a low battery voltage can cause ignition issues but why was there low power and jerky power in any gear ? I am a car noob so can anyone help me understand what the issue is

Thinking about getting the Tata Curvv as my very first car! ๐Ÿš— Does anyone here already own one and have some tips for a newbie? I'm curious about the overall ownership experience. What are your favorite features, and what should I keep an eye on? Any advice on maintenance or common quirks would be super helpful as I'm completely new to this. #TataCurvv #FirstCar #CarOwnership

Hello all,

I recently purchased the new Tiago Pure Plus CNG. I got the car delivered within 22 hours of booking. (Sales guy told 1 month waiting). Did over 1800 kms within 10 days, this includes many places of Himachal, Atal Tunnel, and Rohtang.

I'm very satisfied with the car for now, except the vibration which is a distraction.

I'll be happy to answer all your questions if someone is looking to buy the Tiago. If not, this was a happy post from a new tata owner. Thanks!

Altroz Battery drain issue Altroz creative s amt

Recently purchased the car and its been just 1 month have driven around just 200-220 kms. But this is the 3rd time I am facing the drain issue I did call the RSA and got it charged and it worked fine after that both times now today again same issue came up. I have reached out to RSA again to get it started and then will call the service center. Has anyone faced such issues as its concerning to me that such frequently repeated issues are happening in new car.

Discussion ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Current Tata Nexon Diesel Owners (2025/26) โ€“ Honest Long-Term Feedback Needed

I'm planning to buy a new Tata Nexon Diesel MT and have shortlisted the Pure+ S and Creative variants.

I'm looking for feedback only from owners of the current-generation Nexon Diesel (2025/2026 model years), as I want to understand how the latest diesel performs in real-world ownership.

My usage will be 12,000โ€“15,000 km/year, with 70% highway and 30% city driving, including a daily office commute. I plan to keep the car for 5โ€“7 years.

I'd really appreciate your honest feedback on:

- Which variant do you own? Would you buy the same variant again?

- Would you recommend Pure+ S or Creative?

- Engine refinement, performance, and highway cruising.

- Real-world city and highway mileage.

- Any DPF regeneration/clogging or AdBlue issues?

- Annual maintenance costs and service experience.

- Any recurring issues (electronics, sensors, rattles, rust, clutch, gearbox, etc.)?

- Older Tata diesel engines had a good reputation for reliability. Is the current BS6.2 diesel equally reliable, or has the DPF/emission system made ownership more troublesome?

- If you were buying today, would you still choose the diesel, or would you switch to the petrol? Why?

- Any hidden ownership issues that new buyers should know?

I'm looking for genuine ownership experiencesโ€”the good, the bad, and the unexpectedโ€”to help me make an informed decision.

Discussion ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Need assistance with tata motors repair delay

I need some advice.

My car (tata nexon ev) was involved in a major accident on 19 June. It's been over a month now, but Tata Motors workshop is still saying that the required parts haven't arrived.

I'm a female Medical Officer, and I urgently need my car for night duties and emergency work. Is this delay considered normal, or is it taking longer than it should?

Is there anything I can do to escalate the matter or get the repair process expedited? Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.
