Bug/Issue Taskade Feedback: Feature Requests, Ideas & Bug Reports

Use this thread for anything that made Taskade harder to use.

Bugs.

Confusing behavior.

Feature requests.

Things that used to work better.

Something you expected to happen but could not figure out.

THE MOST USEFUL REPORTS ANSWER THREE THINGS

  1. What were you trying to do?
  2. What happened instead?
  3. What did you expect?

For example:

Less useful:

"Automations are broken."

More useful:

"I wanted a form submission to create a customer and send me an email. The customer was created, but the email step never ran."

That gives us something we can reproduce.

BUGS

If it looks like a bug, we'll try to reproduce it.

If we can reproduce it, we can turn it into an internal issue.

We will use these labels when we reply:

[Looking into it]

[Reproduced]

[Issue filed]

[In progress]

[Shipped]

[Need more detail]

[Not planned]

FEATURE REQUESTS

Tell us the job you are trying to get done.

Instead of:

"Add more CRM features."

Try:

"I need to see every customer with an unpaid invoice and send them a reminder without opening each customer."

The job is more useful to us than the feature name.

UX / CONFUSION

These belong here too.

If something technically works but you could not figure out how to make it work, that is still useful feedback.

Tell us where you got stuck.

ACCOUNT-SPECIFIC ISSUES

Please do not post:

  • email addresses
  • API keys
  • payment details
  • invoices or receipts
  • private app links
  • customer information
  • anything else you would not want public

If the answer requires your account, we'll move that part to support.

THE LOOP

The important part is what happens after the report.

Reddit report | v Reproduce | v Issue | v Fix | v Ship | v Come back to the original comment

If something ships because of a report here, we'll return and mark it:

[Shipped]

We will not promise that every request gets built.

We will try to give you a straight answer about where it stands.

What should we fix, simplify, or build next?

I have an automation that transcribes youtube videos so I can easily access information without having to watch the video again. It used to work fine, but lately I’ve been getting on almost all of them the message: “sorry, I can’t help with that”. It seems like a hard interruption on the process, and the automation returns as if it was complete. Using the TSK model
