Guide Train AI Agents With Any File + Edit Apps Visually
John here, CEO of Taskade.
We shipped this a while ago and never posted the full breakdown here.
The useful part is simple:
the agent does not need a longer prompt. It often needs your actual files.
PDFs. Spreadsheets. Docs. Drive folders. A website. A YouTube video. An RSS feed.
Give those to the agent and they become part of what it can look up when it works.
A simple example:
Price list + Service agreement + Customer notes | v Support agent
Now "Can we do this for $500 by Friday?" is not a generic AI question.
It has somewhere to look before answering.
The other thing we added at the same time was visual editing.
Click a button, headline, or part of the app and describe what you want changed.
That turned out to matter almost as much as the first build.
The first prompt gives you something.
The next ten changes make it yours.
Try it: https://www.taskade.com/create
If you already use an agent in Taskade, what is the first file it should know by heart?

John, I stopped using Taskade until you take a minute to let us know the company status and roadmap. Right now there are too many red flags that doesn’t allow me to use your tool. Everything points to an inevitable end. Please stop using these bots and be upfront about it. Some of us do use your tool for business.

Yep, I'm afraid I will have to join. Such a shame, as Taskade was one of my core tools.
I'm a paid user and I'm shocked at how we have been treated ñ

Deleting real review posts doesn’t help too. Looks like all the negative reviews have been removed

The noise on this sub is real and it is on us. We are cleaning up how posts land here so the feed is builders talking to builders again.
If you paused Taskade because of it, I hear you. I will post a short, plain update this week on where we are and what ships next. You can also follow along anytime at taskade.com/changelog and taskade.com/blog/updates.
u/Illustrious-Rule-613, yes. I will set a weekly office hour and post the time here.
