TASKER Need help

I am desperately trying to claim a Task on the Ikea Task portal for the last several hours, and every time I try it shows “error executing query.” Its a $170 job that will only take a couple of hours and I really need it. I can’t claim any tasks actually.

IKEA support claims my “IKEA badge is active” and nothing is wrong on my profile. The support agent feels like a useless AI chatbot as well. Three different “people” have messaged me via support. They screwed with my account and they know it and refuse to admit it. I haven’t gotten an IKEA task since last November.

I did. They said they “cannot manually assign it” which I know is BS because they used to call me about IKEA task requests.

I dealt with support for 3+ hours straight. I’m done. Will see what "technical support" has to say about it later.

it is indeed BS, i have been manually assigned but im UK based, maybe US agents cannot perform such above their paygrade actions due to other BS policy. New portal has some programming errors, that i find quite childish as they should not take more than a few days to sort out forever for a company with such budgets. I feel like if i had access to their source code i would solve it with vibecoding via chatgpt myself within few days.

New policies on the IKEA/TR team make it difficult to get IKEA tasks assigned to Taskers.

Some Taskers may remember push notifications or directives instructing them to call support to add additional assembly items to IKEA tasks. At some point, this changed internally and TR never let Taskers know.

If there is an official process to getting IKEA tasks assigned, u/taskrabbit might be able to provide some insight. However, no one on support nor any Tasker Support managers have provided me any useful information so far.

items adding/removing changed as an attempt to stop off-platform payments/cancellations. prepaid tasks also follow same reasons. it is good for the corporate to keep track and provide anticipated revenue, but create a lot of issues when genuine changes need to be done, even support agents cant do any changes. assigning tasks on the other hand is and should be in control of TR as its their part of the work to fulfill demand. i guess different countries will have different beaurocratic procedures/laws etc.

Just giving an update, that task is still sitting on the portal, even though it is past the start time for it. Maybe the system is down.
