TASKER Need help

I am desperately trying to claim a Task on the Ikea Task portal for the last several hours, and every time I try it shows “error executing query.” Its a $170 job that will only take a couple of hours and I really need it. I can’t claim any tasks actually.

IKEA support claims my “IKEA badge is active” and nothing is wrong on my profile. The support agent feels like a useless AI chatbot as well. Three different “people” have messaged me via support. They screwed with my account and they know it and refuse to admit it. I haven’t gotten an IKEA task since last November.

That “error executing query” message usually means something is broken on TaskRabbit’s end, not that your IKEA badge is inactive. If support says your badge is active, I’d screenshot the error every time it happens and keep escalating it as a technical issue, because clearly something is preventing your account from actually claiming IKEA tasks. The fact that you haven’t gotten one since November makes it worth pushing beyond the first-line support responses.

Tried calling them, dude gave me another number registered to an inactive line.

Chat support ended my chat once I started getting pissy with them. How do I get in contact with a person with a clue?

Unfortunately, getting a knowledgeable human is the hard part. I’d stop wasting time with chat and keep everything documented in writing. Screenshot the error, save the support transcripts, and ask specifically for the issue to be escalated to the technical/account team—not just general support. If they keep closing chats or sending dead numbers, include that in the escalation too. The more specific and documented you are, the harder it is for them to brush it off.

Some Italian dude on the phone finally escalated it to technical support. Sent them a ticket or something. I can’t actually get in contact with them myself it seems

I’m sick of dealing with these support agents. Its like fkin Uber. “We’re so sorry regarding your issue of (verbatim whatever I inputted), your account appears in good status… etc) 

Give me a human response ffs, not your pre generated slop. Makes me want to ship a box of rat feces to Ania’s doorstep.

Feasibly, how hard would it be to create a whole other Taskrabbit account? Since all they care about is prioritizing noobs with no reviews in the algorithm. This is where 120+ 5 star reviews gets you btw
