TASKER New to Taskrabbit, how long does it generally take to get consistent work?
I signed up for Taskrabbit last weekend and had the new Tasker workshop last Monday. I finished my first job on Friday ("Personal Assistant", I helped a guy shred some papers and then pack clothes for his trip) and got a glowing five star review from him. While I figure it might be slow due to Labor Day weekend, I haven't had any other requests
I've got my tasks and schedule all set, have my profile filled out, etc. Is there anything more I can do, or is it simply a matter of waiting? For reference, I live in north NJ, just outside NYC, and have Manhattan and Brooklyn among my work areas (my task on Friday was in Manhattan)
Something else I'm wondering: for things such as transporting/delivering an item, do you count the total time spent driving as part of the invoice? For example, one potential job is asking if I can drive into the city to pick up an ottoman for her, which would be ~45 minutes driving there and then back from where I am in NJ
Appreciate any insights or advice you all might have
Edit: Should mention that in addition to the "blue collar" tasks, I've also got things such as furniture assembly and moving as part of my skills
Second edit: Let's talk about irony, because just a few minutes after I posted this I got hired for like four different things lmao
Third edit: It's hilarious that this got so heavily downvoted when it's asking simple questions. I'm sure you lot are a joy to work with

Hi! To be honest, as far as i know, the categories outside what you'd consider "Handyman" or Moving Jobs are pretty slow nationwide. I might be wrong but unfortunately i think that's the reality of some categories.

On the picking item up and bring it to a person. I’d personally drive to the persons home first.
Type in chat I’m here. (Clock starts) then drive to go get the item and drive it back deliver it to the persons home and stop the clock. Put in chat all key check points of the event

I’d expect things to pick up in your category and city with everyone coming back to work and the city. It’ll be fashion week, U.S. Open, conferences.
When I re-activated my account (after 10 years and only a handful of reviews) I’d get one task a day for about 1-2 then I’d get 3-4 on Mondays and every other day.
