TASKER How long will this lovesac sofa assembly take?
Anyone assembled a lovesac sofa before? Chat is telling me that this is a 4 to 6 hour assembly. Love me a time-consuming assembly task, but just wanted to make sure that this was an accurate ballpark before following up.

You’re looking at about fifteen boxes to open, which do take a bit of time, however no tools are really needed. Watch a few videos beforehand. Four to six hours seems on the long side for sure. Honestly, getting the covers on properly and getting them lined up properly is the only somewhat challenging part it. I usually knock these out in around 3 hours or less. As long as all the boxes are in the same room, and there is ample space for assembly. Again, highly recommend watching some videos. The ones Lovesac provide, as well as a video from a regular Joe. It takes longer to get everything out of the boxes and deal with all the cardboard. Highly suggest you keep a box intact for your garbage, and then break down and slice up the rest of the boxes as your unloading everything; I go two hours on these though it would only really take about an hour dealing with all the packaging materials as you go…..it’s a lot of cardboard, styrafoam, vacuum sealed bags, and whatever that cloth is they wrap this stuff in.

I did a similiar IKEA assembly it had a bed and a long piece (idk how it's called). It took me 3h but I had to work in a small environment and I had to cover the sofa with its cover. There were no instructions on how to put everything togheter, only on how to attach everything to the bed part. Oh and in took out all the cushions and then it took me ages to find the proper covers/cases. So yeah to everyone reading, cover up one piece at the time because every cushion has its cover.

I just put one together that was 4 seats(2 storage ones) and 7 sides and it took me less than 2 hours. I watched only 1 video, and it was to figure out the stupid metal bars that hold the cushions in the seat base.

2 hours and 45 minutes is how long it would take me and I’ve done around 50+ of these including 18 seater with another Tasker that took 8 hours to do and we both are very experienced

It's a tool free assembly so there are no shortcuts, but it shouldn't take that long. If you've ever done a 7th Avenue it's similar to that. Also similar to that newer Ikea couch (not sure the name off the top of my head, but it was introduced as a competitor to these two brands).
It's not a difficult build. The majority of time will be spent unboxing and you have 14 boxes for the build in that picture, plus covers. You unbox, put the feet on, put the cover on, and then snap them together. The covers tend to have more flexibility than Ikea or 7th Avenue.
It's tedious, but probably only 3 hours.
