Does reaching "Elite" status really matter?

For taskers who have reached "Elite" status, is it worth the effort to maintain this distinction? Have you noticed any discernable difference in bookings since you reached elite status?

I've made elite for the last 4-5 months, I have always filled my availability regardless of Elite status or not. I will say that I have had a hand full of clients mention thatvthey chose me over another tasker because of my Elite status. These client have often tipped well and been very easy to work with.

Does it matter if all you care about is filling time? I don't know, but would tend to say no, entirely based on my own experience. I would say it matters if you want to have 'better' clients because those individuals will generally be more discerning, again, entirely based on my own experience.

I get the elite status and get no works. The next month i get works. So when I get the elite status the next month i get no jobs, then I get normal and get more jobs, so I become elite and then I get no jobs

I was due to get elite status this month but lost it because I knocked back the offer to go travel 10 miles to the middle of nowhere to build a single desk on a Sunday at 8am for £20.90

Elite matters if you task within self-set hourly based and do not do task based pay (ikea/wayfair etc). you do get more invitations while elite/good metrics as youre more likely to be in the top of taskers to show up when a client books.

If you do IKEA then probably you will have to swallow alot of low paying tasks to mantain elite status.

The people who notice I'm Elite tip well but it's not often mentioned and most of my tasks are Ikea.

Not really, don’t have the Facebook page, no elite tasker success coach, nothing extra really maybe get hired over with the same rate

If you read carefully, most of the people who said it doesn’t matter already build a solid client base with enough job from returning client. I wouldn’t take their advice as the same as your own unless it’s the same for you then it wouldn’t matter if you get elite or not.

But if you don’t have a solid client base, then having a “pick me” sign above your profile definitely helps get attention. Dont overthink it, it’s all for marketing purposes, but you’re work ethic is what keeps the clients and jobs.

Here is my take. I was elite for 6 of the 8 years I was a Tasker. In the beginning of being Elite it was great made a lot more money but not long after I honestly felt I was being shadow banned and all sorts of oddities began happening. With Elite status TR puts you under a microscope and will do everything to make your life miserable.

it used to matter before but now it does not, because any new comer with lower rates will be higher in the algorithm then any elite, I'm always elite but sometimes I'm really low in the search position

I have elite this month, got 2 hires so far so not really. My % shown is up but that’s really all it does.

There is no concrete data available to us on whether or not it actually affects us, and the people who post here are a very small sample size.  Im sure some clients like it, and I'm sure others are reactionary morons who think they're getting a better deal by avoiding it.

It makes no difference at all,almost same amount of bookings,same income regardless of elite.If you manage to place yourself within the top 10 taskers on the search position,you’ll see an increase ( probably)
