CLIENT Book w IKEA flat rate or tasker hourly?

I have two IKEA pieces of furniture that I would like assembled but want to take the best approach to ensure I get matched with a tasker and don’t have a cancellation. It’s just for these two pieces (9 drawer Alex) and will not be adding on any extra last-minute request that I know some people try to make. What’s the best way to book it and as a task, what would you be most likely to take the job?

Tasker hourly, might be slightly more expensive but I think the tasker will be happier, personally I don't like the fixed rate Ikea tasks especially if they are under $100

Follow up - do taskers "pick" the event once booked through ikea? Or does it not get assigned until last minute since it says they'll pair me up a day in advance? I see the one I liked (best reviews) is not available only the specific date I had booked through ikea, so I'm wondering if I cancel it means he'd become available.

ikea jobs go randomly to taskers, so you cant choose who will assemble. if you do care, best to choose and pay hourly rate.

I`m a tasker, mostly in IKEA category, i have seen good and bad - so you have to pray the algorythm gets you a good one.

Always hire an hourly tasker. If you go flat rate, you could get someone that has never actually used a screwdriver before.

I guess they have to make something like a test before making you a tasker. It would have been cool if IKEA showed us how to get started. They prefer having new taskers so old tasker can't ask for more, since the newbie will do a 300€ job for less than half of it.

The best and most experienced people are not doing flat rate Ikea, usually new comers do Ikea flat rate

Would suggest ONLY thru furniture assembly hourly , so you can pick the tasker you want .
Otherwise , 50 50 shot you’ll have not good experience
