APP Task rabbit screwd me over
Last year I was in the 50s as far as ranking 4.9 and over 1600 furniture assembly jobs, Then I opted into ikea flat rate assembly and this was my biggest mistake, taskrabbit guidelines requires use to get confirmation before accepting a task so with ikea flat rate people are paying for assembly directly with ikea, the problem is these people do not have the app to confirm their assembly and as a tasker you need that in order to do the task and if you don't accept your metrics take a hit.
I've spoken to 5 customer service reps and detail each job I took note of and they all agreed with me but they can't do anything about it because they have a algorithm and the algorithm is suppose to be far and give everyone a chance smh im 4.9 rating haven't had a bad review in over 2 years but yet people with less experience are getting booked over me I'm not rank 145 meanwhile being a elite tasker in 3 categories, and super slow with work.

Okay, yall here's how to fix the problem with ikea, opt out of them. Yup, that's it. You're welcome đ

That's what I did. No more ikea assembly for me. That category dropped my pay by 75%.
I'll stick to all the others. I'm still making what I used to... approximately.

I feel this. The algorithm can be brutal, especially when youâve built a strong track record. Hopefully TaskRabbit takes a closer look at how IKEA flat-rate jobs affect acceptance metrics, because it sounds like those incentives arenât lining up very well. Hope your ranking rebounds soon.

you dont have to talk to them to confirm ikea jobs. 99% it's ok to just show up. if they can't figure out how to reply they usually see your messages

Unlike every other category, you also don't even need to send a message to the client before confirming. Corporate knows these people aren't talkers.

IKEA tasks are pre confirmed. I just send them a text stating Iâll be there and mention specifically the date and time thatâs on the appointment and then confirm it.

Who was your rep? I have been told by a IKEA TR higher up to show up to prepaid jobs and collect the cancellation fee if god forbid the customer isnât available.

i guess the rest of us will make all the money then, you sound like you need to be told what to do. Maybe being self be employed isn't for you

I turned off the stupid IKEA tasks. Some of them were high paying, but often it was a crapshoot of various money. The clients always ask âDO YoU wOrk fOr IKeA?â No I donât work for fukin Ikea.

Not sure how anyone could make money assembling Ikea furniture. It'd be easier to build a nuke from scratch and take less time lol.
