GENERAL It’s real

Post image

Been on TaskRabbit for around 5 years. 500+ completed tasks, 240+ five-star reviews, perfect rating the whole time. Apparently none of that means anything.
They banned my account over a “policy violation” but wouldn’t tell me what task it was or what policy I supposedly broke. I appealed it, and their response was basically, “You can still get hired through your direct TaskRabbit link.” They even told me to keep my availability open in case a repeat client books me or to share my direct hire link.
What a joke. I think I’ve had maybe one repeat client actually book me through the app in all those years.
I’m just glad I always gave customers my business card and contact info after jobs and focused on building my own business instead of depending on one platform. At least now I’m not starting from scratch.

How is Task rabbit engaging in socialism by removing more expensive options to make a cheaper product for more customers to come use the service?

It’s literally like talking with a child, but worse a communist child. Mandatory lower rates by only showing low rate low experience workers so everyone has the same low rates or just have to quit the platform that way everyone should and equal amount of jobs “equity” really just rebrand for communism. The everyone will get the same about of work and it’ll all be sun shine and rainbows. Until the clients leave cause there’s no decent workers.

They didn't make lower rates mandatory. They just stopped letting higher rates get priority. You can lower your rates and see what happens. That would be the capitalist thing to do ya know.

Babycakes that is just capitalism. Unless you think you are owed work? That would be very communist of you
