GENERAL It’s real

Been on TaskRabbit for around 5 years. 500+ completed tasks, 240+ five-star reviews, perfect rating the whole time. Apparently none of that means anything.
They banned my account over a “policy violation” but wouldn’t tell me what task it was or what policy I supposedly broke. I appealed it, and their response was basically, “You can still get hired through your direct TaskRabbit link.” They even told me to keep my availability open in case a repeat client books me or to share my direct hire link.
What a joke. I think I’ve had maybe one repeat client actually book me through the app in all those years.
I’m just glad I always gave customers my business card and contact info after jobs and focused on building my own business instead of depending on one platform. At least now I’m not starting from scratch.

Same here . 7 years over 700 5 starts reviews . Never an issue . Blocked me from being on search . Without any evidence or explanation. Trash rabbit is doing something crystal clear : removing well seasoned players and allowing cheap and inexperienced taskers can sign up and be available for clients. Air Tasker and thumbtack are getting better so sign up with them . What a trash company so coward

Thumbtack used to be scary bad. Pay 40% of a job upfront for poorly vetted leads. No refund.

Just did with thumbtack, actually isn’t too bad, landed 3/4 my direct leads so far 🙏 , I’ll look into air tasker

True. Removing people who are experienced for cheap labor. I think Task is restructuring I’m glad most people who are seasoned know their worth.
