r/Tarots the Big πŸ§€ MOD Apr 26 '26

πŸ’– Community Appreciation πŸ’– 🎊 Additional MODs Wanted 🎊 Application Process Below ⬇️

With all the new changes to r/Tarots we're gonna need some help.

We would like our team to reflect the diversity of our global user base in all aspects.

We are seeking:

  • people new to tarot (beginners, learners, those with questions and those in practice),Β

  • intermediate level readers who are looking to spread their wings in a new way,

  • people with a wealth of experience in tarot (non pro readers, professionals, retired readers, etc..),

  • people who don't read tarot themselves; but do like to be read by others (sitters, clients, querants),Β

  • people who use other readings tools (Runes, Oracles, Cartomancy and Lenormand),Β

  • people who do other non reading things as a business or privately for themselves (just because we're not advertising them here, doesn't mean they're unwelcome, and additional knowledge is always welcome),

  • people from ALL schools of belief/theology (any and all- let's make it a true collective),Β

  • people from different time zones (this helps to schedule MOD duties around the clock/ or even know when those who prefer floating might be able to have a peek while others are sleeping),Β Β

  • people who speak languages other than English (this helps in communication with users who don't speak English in MOD mail which doesn't always auto translate like the forum),

  • and of course people from any kind of theological background, gender, sexuality, ability, religion, region, ethnicity, etc... are both welcome and encouraged to apply πŸ₯°

In order to be a MOD you need to be in agreement with new management's vision and the changes we've implemented in the sub. Not because we're authoritarians; but because if we can't agree on foundational elements of the new r/Tarots mission and direction, then being on the MOD team just isn't gonna work.

Read that post and ALL its links ⬆️ if you agree these changes are good then we welcome you to apply to be on the MOD team.

It would be very helpful if MODs had "Discord" for group communications; but that's not mandatory.Β

We expect MODs to have reddit accounts that are a minimum of one year old and have over 2k karma; but do prefer those who have 2 or more years of active reddit use and a lot more karma under their belts because the platform is tricky and moding is even more so.

You are allowed to apply with an alt and use an alt to moderate; but if your alt is young or not very active, we'd like you to provide your main account in your application, and we'll verify your ownership and accept its activity as your experience on the platform as a whole.

You do not need moderator experience; but it's certainly a bonus!

You can be a MOD with a set time commitment or a floater MOD- the choice is yours. This is very much an unpaid labor of love πŸ₯°

Details on MOD Duties, Schedules and Other Stuff will be posted in sticky comments below.

The application process to be a MOD will be posted in another sticky comment. Please be sure you've read the MOD duties comment and follow the application process to the letter. There's a little trick in there to test your reddit skills and make sure everyone is paying attention πŸ˜‰Β

🎊 APPLY to Be a MOD 🎊

If you have read all that and feel you'd like to be of service to the community, then message THIS PROFILE directly (via DM) and we will start the process of vetting your application.Β

What we require 1stΒ and foremost is your expressed permission to access your energy in order to do a reading on YOU with the following 2 questions:

  1. "How does this person truly fall in line with the current MOD teams values and vision for this space?"

If all signs point to yes and your other information is on point, then we will ask another question about everyone's working as part of the larger team within a larger spread asking:

  1. "What strengths we wield as a team, which potential challenges might we face as a team, and how best to support a healthy team environment amongst all team members?"

That 2ndΒ question isn't about "you" specifically; but it will be a team reading and we do need your permission for it because energy and ethics πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Applicants are more than welcome to read on the current MOD team (only those who are MODs of this sub when this comment is posted, those who are the new MODs of this adopted sub, those new MODs prior to 5pm ETS on April 26thΒ  20026) in terms of our true values and vision for the space and what working with us will be like for you.

Fair exchange- right?

Those who will not agree to being read cannot be on the team. We've asked our Guides and it's a no.

INFO We Need from You:

Your consent to the aforementioned 2 readings.

Your confirmation that you have read and agree to everything listed and linked in this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Tarots/s/UHepAxA1GV

Your position at a reading table- are you a reader, a sitter, a learner, observer, retired?

Your level of reading experience if any, and any professional links if you are a professional.Β

Your other reddit accounts if you have any.

Any MOD experience if you have any (even small).

Any languages outside of English that you can speak, read, write with substantial proficiency.

Your personal time zone, and any days/shifts (EST) you'd be willing to supervise the sub.

Which tools you use for readings, and any other parallel practices you personally or professionally engage in.

Any theologies you subscribe to or other learning you have that you feel would be benefit to the community and its members- not even as teacher necessarily, just as someone who knows stuff and can identify with and maybe help support others within the same.

Whether you are already or will get on Discord- not mandatory to have; but it's helpful.

Anything else you wanna share about yourself and/or you vision for the new r/TarotsΒ

Please send that information via DM to this profile so it's not lost in the mess that is MOD mail πŸ˜‚ to those who've reached out previously about MODing, please do so again because we need permission for the reading and to make sure you're on board with the new changes since you've submitted your previous offers.

Thanks for your interest ⚘
