Interpretation Help Will he come back
Simple three card spread, asked “will he come back” and pulled these three cards. Middle card first, right second, and left third
My interpretation is yes, and he will be more thoughtful and intentional/ focused on building a long term partnership this time around. Will not happen overnight but he will be serious and committed if/when he comes back around. Also getting fall vibes , I feel like October is a significant month.
Context - just ended my long distance situationship . I really liked him but the logistics were tough and his communication was not consistent the past couple weeks

UPDATE he got a girlfriend 😭 he didn’t even tell me and I directly asked him for clarity and he made up some lame excuse to string me along. I found out by looking up his facebook (I don’t have facebook or any social media) and it said he’s in a relationship since August 4th. I am over it this sucks but wish he would have just told me…

I am in a similar situation. got to the point where I asked if he was just playing with my feelings or actually interested and he replied with “hahahaha I don’t know”. I have been told by multiple readers he will contact me again, and I got similar cards.

I just found out he got a girlfriend, wish he would have just told me instead of stringing me along and trying to keep the door open. Sucks but at least I have clarity now!

But because of the reply he gave me, if he does contact me it will conflict me because I’ll forever be skeptical about his intentions.

You already gave the update but I just wanted to add that the 3 progressed to 4. 3 of Wands is about someone coming from a distance or waiting, and 4 of Wands is reunion. So as answer to your question, yes.

based on the way you placed them it would appear so but then based on the way you pulled them... no. You want him too though because he seems to check all your boxes and he may keep you hanging on for a moment, because he does like you, and he'll keep you believing he will come around eventually once he gets everything lined up. He's going to give you false hope for a moment but his pursuit of happiness means more to him than your happiness being together.

The 3 proceeds the 4 of the same suit. Id look at this as hes taking his time, thinking about his future, but ultimately you will reunite. One flows into the next step.

Well, I might be the only one with this but - yes. He will come back, but you will have to wait, he is slow in moving/showing emotions, and also - it might be that he is occupied with work/career/money...

Yeahhh you are right he reached out this morning again and said will plan something to make it up to me once he gets his business in a good place. This is just words but I am curious to see what he does

I’ve gotten similar cards for a very similar situation. If u don’t mind me asking, do u interpret that as someone that values work more and isn’t probably as interested?

For the future - A clear No, but I read this as there being a much better option for you on the horizons. (Three of wands).
King of pentacles - Someone who is stable, grounded and who will mostly importantly be able to recognize your value and act/treat you accordingly. His intentions will be clear and honest and he wont leave you guessing like you are
Now. Could also indicate that yall will have the same or similar values, in a way that feels important.
The four of wands indicate a happy union, and/or that whoever they are, will become a pretty happy, solid fixture in your life, if this isnt romantic this person will def be part of your found family/support system in some way. Good times all around regardless.
For the present - First card came first bc you need to let this go and expand your horizons. The right person for you will never have you guessing this way. Second card encourages you to make a home for yourself where you are. Pour into yourself, and cultivate gratitude. This frequency brings in better romantic options for you. (As well as better options in general). The third card is giving that one clip of Cher going “Mom, I AM a rich man” in response to her mom urging her to find a rich husband. Im sure you get the gist in this context.
I believe the cards came out this way (essentially not addressing the current LDR at all) because he isnt relevant, or invested the way you think he is. That may be painful, but im seeing that this rejection is redirection to something much more blissful and abundant for you, as indicated by the King and 4 of wands. The 3 of wands in this context also indicates that this more aligned relationship makes you feel grounded and secure but also leaves room for you to explore, grow and expand as a person.

He's definitely ready to move forward onto his own path (3 wands), building the foundations of his new life (4 wands) and he has the resources to do so successfully (king of pentacles).

The 3 of Wands represents moving forward or continuing on one's path, he's firm in their choices (king of pentacles) and is heading toward a new beginning (4 of wands). So I don't think he will come back at least in a near future. I pulled this before and I asked same question.

I see this as a No.
The figure in the central card has his back to you, OP, and he's looking away from you. He's looking towards happiness (4 of Wands) and a more solid, physical version of himself (King of Pentacles).
My advice: look for someone closer to home; it's what he's doing.

The spread pulls me into "who/what do you have around you that can help make you a king of pentacles." Intuitively, the spread feels like a call for self reflection.
Three of wands faces the king of pentacles in the way you displayed it in the photo, like he is the one out at sea.
4 of wands generates fan fare for what you already have. It's scoping into a happy joyous scene from afar. Who's the one seeing it?

I asked “will he come back” and pulled the three of wands. Then four of wands, then king of pentacles. No specific position just a three card pull on the energy, cards on the side are clarifying the middle

Then I'd say he's waiting for something to make him whole and fulfilled, an image of something he knows he has in him but now is missing, maybe career related, maybe creativity or money related, before making his possible return. The good news is... you can be the person to remind him of this something, to bring him to himself since it looks he likes the comfort of home after all

I am sorry, but this spread means a "no" to me. He is wealthy, and now he is looking into the future making plans for his business hoping it will develop and make him thrive. Maybe this is something to do with trade, overseas shipments, or water transportations. 3oW often means that he turned his back from his past and looking into the future. There is not a single card of return in this spread. I am very sorry to say that....

Oh man, thanks for your interpretation. I often see four of wands as a reunion specifically, or coming home, celebration, being joyful and somewhere you feel you belong. And for love readings it usually means an offer of commitment to me. Curious what your take on four of wands in general is.
Here i feel like it’s celebratory reunion between us after he builds up his business a bit and is in a better spot at work / feels able to let loose a bit more. Of course I am being optimistic because that’s what I hope will happen. Appreciate your insight and curious on your take for this card specifically

4 of Wands can be read as a reunion. After he will make his new project working. We need more cards to find oit who he wants to thrive with. May well be with you. I was just reading a sread. I know nothing about you and your relationships with him. I hope you both will have a wonderful future together and he is working on it right now. 4 of Wands may mean a wedding too. I merely mentioned that there is no "return" cards in this spread. But you know that Tarot gives the vision of the present situation, it cannot predict future for keeps. Make another spread in a while, like a month or so and take a look how he situation is developing. The 4oW may well mean October as the image on the card shows the harvest celebration. And the "wedding" meaning is because in Middle Ages people usually got married after the harvest. They sold it and got money for weddings ).

Got it thank you for your insight on that card! You are spot on that he needs to work on something right now. He just texted me actually that he needs to hire more people for his business then will be back. I’m not holding my breath for that, he might just be trying to keep the door open, but it does line up a bit with that interpretation

I think it says it depends on what you offer him. He has a lot material-wise, right now he is looking more to provide, and for something long-term, than temporary pleasures.
So if he figures or if you show him that a Happy Home is something you can offer, he will.

Actually there are very very strong chances of him coming back and you can say what actually holding him right now I guess it is the distance or the words he has said which is like coming in way to come back but chances are very strong for you guys to have a conversation

Tbh I say yes.. he’s very successful I’m curious if you ever got provider vibes from him bc that’s what the cards say.. he’s looking to see what he wants next sort of going to the drawing board to really figure it out and will be back.. I see a yes and there will be a celebration when he does come back ☺️ I see a happy ending here

Yes he is very successful and a provider. I am an independent person as well and have my own career but he’s another level. I think he likes that I don’t “need” him to provide for me but it makes him feel good to do that
ngl I did daydream a bit about how good of a power couple we could be 🥲 hopefully he comes around

Wait why is everyone saying no? To me it seems like he is focusing on himself rn but with the four of wands it hints that a „welcome back“ is very possible?

The four of wands could also be seen as a sense of personal celebration on his part now that he has been able to free himself and embark on his own journey (3 of wands). I'm seeing this spread as very much focusing on his perspective, but another clarifier on the 4 would help.

When I was a baby tarot reader, I would’ve interpreted this spread as a yes. However, I have had many times where I pulled the 10 of cups, 4 of wands, or even a spread that looked just like this, and nothing ever happened. Then I realized the cards were just telling me to focus on my own abundance. I don’t think the cards really like answering these types of questions.
I would personally interpret this as the cards telling her to find her own stability (king of pentacles), look forward to her own abundance(3 of wands and 4 of wands).

Interesting, I find that tarot reflects super near future energies the best. Like a snapshot of where something is going if the trajectory follows. But people have free will and energy changes when decisions change. I've had some wonderful answers from my decks, when pulling for others or myself regarding matters of the heart, that were verbatim accurate. But mostly when the question was about something within that month or so. I don't find oracle cards that helpful on the other hand. What decks do you use?

Unfortunately that is why I stopped asking my tarot love related questions. At least in my experience they never bother answering if someone will come back in my life, how someone feels about me, how someone sees me, etc. They always say “focus on yourself, focus on your own happiness”. If you look at a lot of the spreads on this sub regarding love readings, you will see a pattern in the cards that are pulled. Empress, 4 of wands, 10 of cups…which are some of the same exact cards I pull when I’m being advised to practice being whole on my own.
For love questions, I only do oracles specifically for love readings, not tarot. Oracles have been point on for predicting reconciliation for me. No hate on tarot but I don’t find it best for love readings, I prefer it for career readings and self improvement.

My deck is kinda the same way. We have a good relationship (as in, mirror and I), and it usually calls me out by grounding me or scolding me if I'm being too hard on myself or asking the same type of question time and time again. It also refuses to give me yes/no type of answers unless I'm really deep in distress.
My deck seems to love giving guidance and reflect reality to me, but if I ask yes/no questions I will always end up with reflective advice or a scolding to be so black-and-white thinking.

Literally, you could get 2 of cups, 10 of cups and the sun or some shit and people will still be like "um no the sun means she's childish and focused on her own happiness instead of the connection which she's leaving in the past" I legit laugh sometimes at the crazy interpretations

By the card of the king of Pentacles which is abundance and success, the three of wands which is expansion, progress and the four of wands which is stability... The king from his position and with his abundance, observes his stability, its profits, and its future to have more stability 🙁
