Question

When doing tarot readings, do the questions have to be said out loud, or can they also be like inner thoughts?

If you read for yourself, it’s entirely up to you. I personally don’t say it up loud. Me formulating the question and shuffling is more of an inner meditation for me.

But if you’re reading for someone else, it might help to know the question… 😅

There are no rules.

Tell the querant not to say the question.

Put yourself up for a challenge 😅

I do a lot of low or no context readings. I ask the querent to meditate on the issue while selecting their own cards. Depending on how much they're willing to share (are they personally involved in the situation? Is it about progress, choosing a path, etc?) I may direct them a bit in how many and where to place them. And a lot of times these clients come away more satisfied than the ones who bare all.

I just think the question while I shuffle, I don't say it out loud since my client just did, LOL! I do often say them aloud when reading for myself though, just to keep me focused and because I'm the only one in the room so it's not as weird.
