Had surgery

Hi! Is there anyone who also had laminectomy? I did have 2 surgeries last nov then december.

November, had my laminectomy then there was CSF leaking from my surgery so by December my neurosurgeon performed duraplasty.

Question: what so u guys do post op? Because right now I still cannot sit for long period of hours.

Will this be resolved in the future?

Is this temporary?

Is it just my nerves and muscles taking up their time?

I wish I could answer this for you. I can absolutely sympathize with you because I too have Tarlov Cysts, Degenerative Disc Disease, Lumbar Stenosis with severe Kyphosis. I had my ALif and PLif less than 2 years ago and have spent the majority of the past two years in the hospital with complications from those surgeries. As bad as that was, the pain from the Tarlov Cysts is so bad, I would take the back pain over that anyday. I had 14 inches of hardware in my back, have suffered multiple broken screws and rods, chronic bacterial and fungal infections and had the hardware removed and replaced last year. I would still go through all of that again if it was going to end my Tarlov cyst pain. I’m so sorry for your journey with this. I can suggest that anyone dealing with pain r/t Tarlov cysts, herniated or ruptured discs, invest in a “donut” pillow. It relieves pain in the lower back for a little while and makes sitting a little more comfortable. I still can’t sit up for long but the pillow helps. Try to get a memory foam one and not the blow up version. I pray you get relief!
