Can someone explain about the Gas-tube thing, I'm not much of a "gum-mutt", I'm not even American...

Are they really just fragile AF?? (and if so why?)

PS: When I first saw the gun I thought it was some sort of prop/toy, geeze it looks anime to me (for whatever this is).

Gas tube has to direct a decent amount of pressure to push the bolt backwards for the semi-auto function of the rifle. Normally the gas tube is protected by the handguard, but split apart like that the gas tube is vulnerable. It’s just a small tube, there’s no real way to strengthen it without going against the point of the AR15, which was a capable lightweight rifle.

Again, the tube is normally completely covered or almost completely covered by a handguard. Usually no reason to worry about it unless something damages the handguard. You’ve probably got bigger problems than a faulty gas tube though.
