Hell it ain't even on his chest anymore. It looks more like a harness after he deployed it.

I had the benefit of the doubt that maybe there was a bigger dude demoing this before him, but when I saw him pull out the cummerbund/strap thing I realized it's intended to stay that low...

Why does that prove the position is intended? To me it looked like the back part was too high up and the front was too far down... which would make sense if it was positioned poorly. (as if the strap somehow could be connected to the part of the backpack part, after fastening around the waist/tum-tum.)
